*Madison's POV*
Seven Months Ago
"You do realize that nobody's going to watch us right?" CC asked after we finished filming. I didn't care if no one watched us. This was just for fun, no one even has to know. Who watches youtube videos anyway?
Present Day
"Maddie! Please tell me you are all packed up! We are not going to be late! Again." my mother yelled from downstairs.
"Don't worry about me. I'm ready." I said lugging a suitcase down the stairs.
"Oh but I think I shall worry. You are flying alone, without me." She says handing me a plate of toast and eggs. I snatch up the toast.
"Yes. Without you. That was the point mother." I say taking a bite. She laughs and rolls her eyes before checking my bag. Even though I had already checked it...once.
"And mom I'm not going alone, remember?" I ask turing around in my chair.
She looks up at me from the ground. "Oh yes. How could I forget the majestical and boyish boy, a mister Carter Reynolds?" She says sarcastically. I know my mom loves Carter. We all do, he's been a part of this family since forever.
"And CC's coming too." I remind her of my partner in crime.
"You're not really helping your case sweetheart." She says standing up. I smile and stab the yellow eggs with my fork. Ah-ha! I got them now!
Delicious.
I can see where I get my mad cooking skills from. And by mad I mean my cooking makes people mad...when they eat it.
Yeah my husband will be the housewife.
*Ding-Dong*
I shove the rest of the eggs into my mouth and get up to answer the door.
"AHHHH! GIRLLLLLL!" CC screams with open arms.
"GIRLLLL!" I yell in return while accepting her gesture.
"GIRLLLLL! O. M. G.!!!!" Carter screams in a girly voice behind my best friend. I laugh and welcome him with a hug.
"Y'all ready?" he asks after both of them exchange hellos with my mom.
"Let's do this." I say grabbing my bags.
"Wait. Let me look at you." My mom says holding me by the shoulders. "I want to remember you this way."
"Mom, I'm not going anywhere. Except Chicago. And I'll leave and come back the exact same." I laugh.
She lets go. "I don't know I've heard about those Magcon boys." She looks at Carter. "No offense."
He grabs his heart with a totally fake sad face. "Wow. That hurts. Right. In. Here."
"Oh quit your whinnying!" CC says. "And if you need some extra pads or chocolate I got some." We all laugh at Cater's disgusted facial expression. He shakes his head.
"Goodbye infidels! Have fun navigating Chicago without me!" He waves goodbye and walks out the door. I give my mother one last hug before finally leaving.
Twelve days I'll be gone. That's a lot for me. I've only gone away for a weekend with my father in Greensboro. I barely survived. Sure my dad was there but usually it's my mom. My dad would always be on missions, fighting the bad guys, saving the country. I just wish he was here today.
I climb into the car after CC and sit on the side. Thanks to Carter we get a limo both ways.
"So we definitely have to go to the bean while we're there. I heard it's the bomb." CC says.
"I heard it's the bean." Carter replies. We both laugh while CC glares at him.
"Ha. Ha. Ha. Your so funny..."
"Looking!" I finish for her. We've been playing this joke on him since we were kids. Carter laughs but still fakes his hurt face. Which makes this all so much better.
We arrive at the airport and Carter rushes us inside.
"Woah woah. Hold up Carts." CC says slowing down. We both look back at her. "I'm wearing a dress and small heals today. Plus it took me three hours to get my hair to match. There is NO way I am running." Carter rolls his eyes but gestures for her to hop on his back. CC is all about fashion. I know some people say that and don't mean it. But CC is a different story. When we were six she refused to go into bed bath & beyond because the employees were clashing. To this day she won't even go near any bed bath & beyond.
Carter's strong but still has trouble carrying the 5'7" girl on his back. She's tall, thin, and pretty. A.K.A model. That's all she wants to be. Some may see her as selfish I see her as my best friend.
I run after them trying to not drop anyone's bags. CC had hers sent ahead, she's practicing for when she travels Europe. (I'm rolling my eyes right now btw) Thank god though because she has a whole suitcase dedicated to dresses, another one to shoes, and so many others that I just don't have the time to say.
Carter's pretty simple I guess. Two bags and that's it. But honestly, THATS IT??? I have three bags and I still feel like I didn't pack enough. He says it's because he's been to Magcon before and knows how to pack but honestly I think he could live on the same four shirts, one pair of shoes, four jeans, and the same 800 hats. Oops sorry they're not the same, because they all have the same print but different colors means they are ALL different. We rush onto the plane and take our seats. I should've told them to come earlier this morning. I get the window seat. Good. I like to be left alone with my thoughts. It helps me think.
wait...what?
I put in my headphones and stare out the window. They're probably yelling right now telling me to listen to the flight attendant but honestly, no.
I don't really want to be reminded that it's almost two hours before people start asking me weird questions about Carter. I'm really not looking forward to the hotel part, in case you couldn't already tell.*1 hour and 39 minutes later*
"Folks we are now beginning are descent. A please fascin your seatbelts and welcome to Chicago IL." the flight attendant who tried to take my food away before I was done with it says. Just because there is only one drop of chocolate left does not mean that I am OFFICIALLY done with it. People. (rolling my eyes again)
