"I wish you would figure it out
Don't show me a smile
With those endlessly clear eyes,"

- Day6 How Can I say?

9 weeks Prego:

I stood in front of my mirror staring at my body, I didn't look that pregnant yet through my clothes. I wasn't exactly skinny to being with just in the middle but that means I wouldn't be able to hide my growing belly for much longer. I threw on a tshirt and tucked it in and thankfully I didn't look like I was beginning to grow a tiny person in me.

Today would be the day I told Yoseob and Hoseok, and although Baekhyun had work, Sehun would be there of course. The nerves where everywhere as well as my appetite, so I headed to the kitchen eating a couple cookies and then taking my vitamins. I didn't want to eat a lot just because my brothers wanted to meet over breakfast so once I finished in the kitchen I quickly left the loft.

As I took my seat on the bus, I scanned for an empty seat since it was already 9am and the rush was starting to come through. I luckily found a seat near a women who looked like my age but she was holding a baby in her arms. I gulped and sat near her hesitantly, as she rocked the baby she looked over to me with a smile and I returned her one. I kept my eyes on her baby who appeared to be a boy with all the light green and the dinosaur baby bag. "His name is Harold," she said finally and I smiled. "That's such a cute name," I say and she thanked and then she looked at me again, "he is 7months old," she said and then I wowed at how small he still looked. I turned straight trying to not seem creepy that I was just staring at them when she nudged me and I turned again, "want to hold him?" she asked and at first I refused but then I realized it wouldn't hurt to try and see how the rest of my life would be like. "I'd love to," I tell her and she smiles as she instructs me on how to hold his head and him in general. As I hold her son I can't help but smile at the warmth and how sweet he smells. "I don't mean to ask but are you expecting?" the women asked quietly and I gulped and met her eyes and she smiled and nodded her head as she took the baby. "Am I showing?" I ask her and she shakes her head, "you remind me of myself before I had Harold," she tells me and places the baby into his holder near her. "Being afraid is normal, but once you hold them for the first time the fear leaves. For 5mins, and then they cry," she says jokingly and we laugh. "Is he your first?" I ask and she nods, "yup. When I found out I was pregnant Harold's father and I were engaged," she says and then I can't contain my excitement. "Did you get married showing or no?" I ask, "Barely thankfully! We made this little performance to tell our family at the reception," she tells me and I can't help but coo at the thought of having something like that.

"What about you?" she asks and I shake my head slowly and speak quietly. "The father is not in the picture," I tell her and she nods and then reaches into her purse, "Here is my number, we should talk more and I can help. My name is Park Jhene," she says and gives me a piece of paper with her number and I bow and thank her. "Ava Roux," I say and she hugs me which takes me off guard. "Call if anything Ava she says," and gets her stuff as the bus makes a stop and she waves my way and exits with Harold.

I placed the piece of paper I held onto in my purse as I made my way to the restaurant. Jhene was the first actual mother-friend that I'd have and I felt at ease that I could ask for help from someone with experience with a child.
