2 Weeks Later: 

When Ava woke up the sun was in her face and she could feel the humid air fanning over her. She sat up slowly, yawning, and looked to her left to the window that was open. Xiumin might have came in, again, and opened the window earlier that morning. She slipped out of her bed and did her normal routine of washing up and taking her baby vitamin for bean. 

When she stepped out into the living room of the oldish house Xiumin had brought her to, the floor creaked from under her. She looked around for the brunette, usually he was in the kitchen quietly with coffee or on his phone. It was peaceful the past two weeks, she had got into contact with Baekhyun and although he refused to visit in fear of Minseok he did Skype regularly. "Where is he?" she said to herself and then headed to the back of the house, she looked around and still no sign. She then headed to the front of the house and stepped outside, "Xiumin!" she yelled out and heard nothing in return. She slipped into her scandals and with one hand on her growing tummy and the other shielding the bright sun from her eyes she walked straight to the mini forest they lived near. Where Xiumin had grew up was remote, small, and cozy but she couldn't believe that it once was the home of many troubles and even drove Xiumin to leaving. 

As she continued her way, she again called his name but nothing, when she reached the end of the forest she was met with another house and it's appearance was similar to that of Xiumin's. She sighed in relief when she saw in the distance Xiumin talking to an older man while wheelbarrowing what appeared to be weeds and dead grass away. She slowed her pace and made her way to the two males who where now laughing and in the midst of a conversation. Xiumin looked in her direction like if he felt her presence and smiled when he saw Ava making her way over to them. "Goodmorning, sorry if I scared you," he says and Ava smiles and shakes her head. "Hyung this is Ava, and Ava this is Sonny," Xiumin says and Ava bows slightly and both exchange 'hello's,' the older male then tells Xiumin to leave the wheelbarrow and invites them into his home. 

"Ava you're expecting right?" he asks suddenly as they sit in the living room, she nods her head and looks to Xiumin who sits near her. "Congratulations! Wahh! I didn't think this punk had it in him!" Sonny says laughing and pushing Xiumin's shoulder causing them to laugh lightly. Ava looks to Xiumin who looks down but then back up again thinking the same thing as she was but they didn't want to spill the truth especially if not need be. "So is it a boy or girl?" he asks and Ava takes Xiumin's hand into her own, "It's still too early plus I was hoping to keep the gender a surprise," she says causing Sonny to sigh but with a smile. "I bet you want a girl! Huh?" Sonny says to Xiumin, Xiumin smiles and nods his head, "Ever since we where children that's all he dreamt of! So for him I hope the baby is a girl," Sonny says and they all break out in small chuckles. "I'll be happy with whatever gender the baby comes out to be, but a girl wouldn't hurt," Xiumin says and Sonny smiles and gets up, "I have been saving this!" he says and walks off quickly leaving Xiumin and Ava to them self momentarily. 

Xiumin looks to Ava while squeezing her hand lightly and when Sonny returns the two break their eye contact and look at the man who now has a box in both hands. Sonny opens the box and smiles running his hand over the soft material.  "It was mine and Jae Eun's first! I pass it to you two," Sonny says and hands them the soft light-pale green blanket. Xiumin takes it with both hands, him and Ava feel it and smile. "Thank you so much! You should have saved it!" Ava tells Sonny and he smiles and rubs his arm. "No, it's my little gift for now! You want to be the gender a surprise so that blanket will keep you both from buying a blue or pink one! It limits the arguing," Sonny says with a chuckle. "Thank you! Really!" Xiumin says and Sonny smiles and hits him on the shoulder, "Just continue to take care of your family," Sonny tells him and Xiumin smiles even though he knows he is lying to his eldest friend. 

When Ava and Xiumin leave, the walk back to the house was quiet because they hadn't really officially said what terms their relationship was. Yes Xiumin confessed his feelings but the two really never touched onto the topic again till today. "Xiumin," Ava said as they stepped into the house and he slowly turned around and looked at her, "What Sonny said, I don't want to pretend," she says clutching the baby blanket. Xiumin carefully wrapped his arms around her and rested his chin on the top of her head. "I don't want to either, I told you on our way here. I am here for you and the baby. I'm just waiting for you," he tells her smoothly and she clutches onto him. "So when we go back to Seoul, I want you with me as well! I want you with us!" Ava says and breaks away looking into Xiumin's brown eyes. "I'll be there for you both," he says and places his hand on Ava's baby bump. "Let's eat! I know you haven't," Xiumin says and walks to the kitchen while Ava sets the baby blanket on the couch and trails behind him.  "Chef Xiumin wasn't here!" she says playfully and Xiumin chuckles while looking into the fridge.
