16 Weeks- 4 Months Preggo:

"Your baby is about the size of an avocado," said Dr. Namjoon as he spoke to Ava and Baekhyun. "Guess we can't call him Bean?" says Baekhyun and Ava just glares, "The baby will forever be my Bean and stop assuming their gender!" she says and the doctor chuckles as he takes the monitor off Ava's belly. "Alright guys so I took another picture for you. So Ava you are basically in your Second Trimester now, your health is great, so we will still see you at the normal rate till your baby is a bit bigger and then we will start seeing you like we would in the second trimester, do you have any questions?" he says pulling the picture from the machine and turning to her as she sits up. "I'm full blown pregnant, aren't I," she says and he nods and chuckles again, "Yes, in another 5 months this baby will be here, are you scared or feeling sad at all?" he asks her and Baekhyun places his hand on her back to soothe her. "No, this is the third time we have came and Bean is just getting bigger and bigger," she says and smiles. "Don't think it's unusual to develop sadness or depression its called Baby Blues or Postpartum, however, it's more common after child birth. If you need to talk you are free to," the doctor reassures her and she nods. "I'm not sad really! I'm excited and happy but the baby isn't even in this world and they are already getting older," she says and looks to her lap semi-smiling. The doctor hands the picture over and stands up, "Ava its ok to feel that way! Welcome to Parenthood, are their anymore concerns or questions you may have?" he asks and she looks up taking the picture and shaking her head. 

As all three walk to the front desk to book the next appointment the doctor snaps his fingers. "Have you bought a copy of The Baby Book?" he asks Baek and Ava. Baek immediately smiles, "I read a part every night, starting last week," he says and Ava rolls her eyes, "He schools me as I began to fall asleep," she tells the doctor and he laughs and pushes his glasses up his nose. "Never mind then, have yourself a great afternoon," he tells them and turns around walking to another room.

Baekhyun walks Ava to work and when they reach it they stop and he hugs her. "Meet you at home in a bit," he tells her stepping back and she nods putting a thumb up. "Behave," Baek says looking at her stomach and then looks back to Ava, "Pieces!" he says and walks away waving. 

Ava smiles as she turns around and into the quiet bookstore, "How was the appointment?" Xiumin asks as she walks past an aisle and she jumps having been startled. "You ok?" he asks as a smile spreads across his face and Ava nods, "You scared me!" she says and he chuckles. "Oh and Bean is doing great, they are the size of an avocado!" she says and quickly shuffles over to Xiumin. She reaches into her bag and pulls out the ultra-sound picture, "It's Bean!" she says and smiles as she looks at her growing baby. Xiumin squints and then makes out the head and the little arms, "So that's who houses in there," he says and pokes her stomach. They both laugh and Ava rest her head on Xiumin's arm as they stare at the picture together. Xiumin can't help but feel happy but sad at the same time. As Ava stops resting on him and places the pic back into her purse she looks at him one more time before heading to the register. Xiumin watches her seeing how beautiful she was when she was happy and how brighter she radiated, but that could just be his feelings.
