Did she even know he existed? This was a question he often asked himself when he sat in his corner booth and stared at his coffee. The notebook he wrote any new music ideas in would lay in front of him, dormant and lonely of any fresh epiphanies.
Of course, that had changed yesterday. He wasn't sure exactly what it was, but he'd woken up with a tune on his lips and vague words within his heart.
She'd heard him humming, hadn't she? She had looked over occasionally while waiting on her order, so yes. She did know he existed.
