Rebekah's mermaid form^^

Elijah's POV

The wait until 10:30 in the morning was perhaps the slowest wait of my entire lifetime. Niklaus and Rebekah has stayed by Blaire's bedside with me since her heart stopped.

Rebekah's outburst right after Blaire's heart stopped made me think. Yes, before we met Blaire we were turned against each other. I wanted and was ready to kill Niklaus without a second thought. The Salvatore's and doppelganger toyed with our emotions and past to draw out hatred toward our siblings. We all hated the other.

Since Blaire has arrived though, we hadn't fought to the extremes we used to. Yes we still fight and argue, but Niklaus doesn't threaten to dagger us anymore and we don't try to kill each other. He also promised that as soon as Blaire could control her powers and blood-lust, he would undagger our other two brothers, Finn and Kol. My older and younger brothers.

Rebekah brought up our promise the three of us made right before we turned. Always and forever. We remade that promise to each other and more importantly we made that promise to Blaire. My daughter would always have someone behind her to protect her.

So as we waited for her to wake up, we simply talked. Something we haven't done without the need to kill each other since we were humans. Niklaus and I tried to get Rebekah to tell us about whatever secret she had kept hidden from us, that she said we will know after Blaire wakes up.

We continued to talk throughout the night. In a way it was calming, and stress free to be able to talk to one of my brothers and my only sister without us trying to kill anyone.

By the time 10:30 rolled around, my siblings and I have decided that if we ever ran into the Salvatore's and doppelganger again, we would kill them. Niklaus even forgot about wanting his hybrids since we met Blaire. Now he just wants to end the Petrova bloodline, it ending with Elena Gilbert.

Yet, until that day comes, we will focus on family and never let anything come between us again. Rebekah shook me and pointed to the bed. Blaire was slowing opening her eyes.

I rushed back to the chair next to her bed, a blood bag in my hand, my siblings behind me with more blood. "Easy sweetheart." I said helping her sit up.

She looked around and quickly shut her eyes at the light. Luckily since Blaire was also a witch as well as vampire, she wouldn't need a daylight ring. She can't be burned by the sun or vervain.

"Ugh. Daddy will you get me some blood please?" She asked groaning. I handed over the small bag I had in my hands. She slowly put it up to her mouth and took a small gulp.

Black veins grew under her eyes, her eyes turned black. There was no white left in her eyes, every part turned black. She drained the bag and I handed her another.

Ten minutes later and two more blood bags, Blaire's face returned to normal and her gums weren't hurting anymore. CaseyLynn had left around 7 but said she would be back later after Blaire was fed and getting used to the senses being higher than normal.

"How are you feeling darling?" My sister asked from her spot behind me. "Good, I think. What time is it?" My daughter asked. "Going on 11 in the morning. CaseyLynn should be back in a while to check your powers and see if the others have appeared." I answered. She nodded, blinking.

"Elijah, may I speak with you for a moment?" My sister asked. I didn't want to leave Blaire's side but Niklaus was now speaking to her. I nodded and got up. Rebekah led my outside, by the pool and sat in a chair.

"What's wrong Rebekah?" I asked, she had a nervous look on her face. "After Casey works with Blaire, I need you, Nik, Blaire and Casey to find me. There can be no questions asked until I tell you what I have to. It is important, and it is about Blaire's tail in water." She said, not being able to stay still while speaking.
