The next two days were a bit of a whirlwind. The boys had to ask management if they could go off the grid for a week or two. Considering it wasn't record-releasing season yet, they agreed it'd be a good idea to let the three have some time off before they'd be locked in the recording booth. In the few hours the guys had been awake on the second day, a lot seemed to have happened. Each one packed mindlessly, not entirely sure what they'd need to bring with them to Blake's hometown.

Blake's mum had called him at least five times to make sure they were getting on well with the organizing and packing and everything else a mother would worry about. It wasn't her fault though; not having her son home for a few months, almost a year even, puts great stress on her wrinkles. She's taught a multitude of children but none will ever matter more to her than Blake and his sister. She was excited that George and Reece were coming along too, of course.

Reece's, as well as George's, mums had called as well, making sure things were in order for the trip. No one can stop a mother from being motherly, the three supposed. And not that they'd ever admit it, they appreciated the concern. Growing up was scary enough, not having your mum there worrying about you would've made it worse. The three had gotten dressed and called the car. None of them had wanted to drive, causing management to rent a car for them. At least the three didn't have to pay for it themselves. Contrary to popular belief, they hadn't made much money and what they have made, was in their saving accounts. Being smart about money was one thing George's father had always stressed. Thankfully, the three listened.

With one last look at the flat, Reece closed the door, making sure it was locked before following the other two with their cases rolling behind them. Blake was excited. He finally got to go home after so long. He'd missed his family, mostly his mum and her amazing cooking but he wasn't going to admit the latter. Honestly, Blake was just anxious about what his mum had said the other day. He couldn't bring himself to believe that Adeline could have come back; that she had happened to return the same time he was visiting home. Coincidences like that never happened in real life and Blake wasn't going to get his hopes up for it either. He didn't want to end up disappointed when it happened to be one of his old mates finding themselves in Macclesfield after a stint away.

George was excited as well, but solely for the cooking skills Blake's mum possessed. He was tired of eating take-out almost every night, shocking even himself at the admittance, and he was ready for the volumes of home-made meals he'd consume in the next two weeks. His mouth was watering at the thought as he looked out the window of the moving car. George was sure that Soulla had already been planning the dinner since she found out the three were coming home and he couldn't wait to sink his teeth into every last item on the menu.

Reece was minding his own business and making small talk with the cab driver about meaningless things like the weather and the football game that was coming on the telly later that night. Reece hadn't thought much about the spontaneous trip other than the fact that it was going to be a nice break from the hectic atmosphere the last couple of months had caused. Reece was tired, as were the other two boys. But nothing would stop the three of them from reaching their goals. That was the one thing Reece was sure about, the three had made a pact to do all of this together and be there for one another. No matter what, he was going to make it with his two best friends, hell or high water.

By the time the three arrived at Blake's childhood home, the sun was high in the sky and it made everything seem brighter. Blake suddenly realized he had a spring in his step and the largest smile on his face as he all but raced towards the front door. Before he could get to the brightly painted yellow door, it swung open with his mother's enormous smile in full view, one that matched Blake's completely. Once he got to her, she was lifted off the ground in an over dramatic scene of reunion. Soulla had always admired the theatrical way her son acted and prided herself on having acted out scenes from his favorite movies with him when he was younger. He got it from her, she liked to think.
