Hinata sighed as she pushed a piece of Hanabi's hair off of her face. The summer heat had matted Hanabi's hair to her skin and the open window wasn't helping like Hinata had hoped. A couple of days ago the hospital's AC suddenly went down and it wouldn't be until later that night when it would be fixed. Putting a cold cloth onto her sister, Hinata listened to Hanabi's breathing. She was slowly getting better and doctors were thinking her eyes would open soon. It would be amazing news to tell their father.
Turning her head, Hinata watched as a brown haired female as she recognised as the girl that Naruto was talking to a week ago, walked into the white washed room. Tenten met eyes with Hinata before closing the door and walking over to the other side of Hanabi and sitting down, "May I ask what you're doing here?" asked Hinata, her voice colder than it should have been. She couldn't help but feel jealous of Tenten with her long chocolate brown hair, hazel eyes, and perfect body that showed through her body tight clothing. It was no wonder that Naruto fell in love with her.
Tenten could only give her a small smile as she looked down at Hanabi, "I met your sister a little bit before she fell into a coma. She's was a kind and ambitious child. Ever since she fell into this state I've been visiting her a couple of times. I knew you came by everyday but I never got to bump into you until today. Well you could say we bumped into each other a week ago, Naruto told me you overheard our conversation." she told Hinata. Tenten looked up from Hanabi and looked straight at Hinata with her warm and caring smile still on her face.
Hinata said nothing for a couple of seconds trying to get where Tenten was coming from. At first she wondered if Tenten still had feelings for the blonde but there was no hatred or jealousy in her eyes. Looking down she slowly nodded, "I'm sorry. I told Naruto that I did it because I didn't want to disturb your talk but I wanted to know him better without asking him out right. I know it was wrong but at the same time I couldn't help but do it. You know how there's a saying that you can fall in love at first sight. I think I fell in love with Naruto at first sight." she muttered the last line as quietly as she could.
Tenten silently nodded, "He knows. Naruto always knows, it's something that we were trained to know. He didn't want to tell you that he knew because he didn't want you to feel cornered. He's a kind soul that deserves everything but right now he's caught into something that he can't wrap his head around. I want to help him but you'll think I'm interested in him aren't you? Don't worry, Naruto and I may have dated and I may have had true and pure feelings for him but we've both moved on. Now may I ask why you've been avoiding him?" she asked.
Hinata sighed. If Naruto knew that much about how she felt than he would find out sooner or later, it would be better to be sooner so she didn't have to hear about him knowing from someone else. "I'm scared. I could tell that he knew that I liked him more than just a friend and I was scared of rejection. I was scared of what he's going to say next. I know he's seven years older than me and I kind of get the fact that I was still a baby when he was seven so that's kind of weird but is it wrong to be scared of being rejected?" she asked Tenten as she looked down at Hanabi.
Tenten didn't take her eyes off of Hinata as Hinata looked down at Hanabi in between them. She nodded in agreement, "You're like me in a way. I fell in love with Naruto first. He was kind and everyone saw him as the sun where we're from. He still is the sun just having an eclipse moment. But at that time he was madly in love with Sakura, his best friend's now girlfriend. You see Naruto and his best friend Sasuke were both in love with Sakura. All three of them knew each other like the back of the book since they've known each other since they were babies. I couldn't help but feel jealous of Sakura. She was gorgeous and had brains. But everyone knew, even Naruto, that Sakura loved Sasuke more than anything. Both of them would give each other their lives up just to stay together. They still do love each other."
