My great grandmother's homemade sugar cookies:
~ 2 cups of flour.
~ 1/4 tsp. salt
~ 1 1/2 tsp. baking powder
~ 6 Tlb. butter
~ 1/3 cup shortening
~ 3/4 cup sugar
~ 1 egg
~ 1 Tlb. milk
~ 1 tsp. vanilla
Blend: Butter and shortening then blend in sugar until fluffy.
Add: Egg - milk and vanilla and blend.
Add: Dry ingredients and blend until well blended.
