They were all at the loft after walking through the portal. Magnus said, "You should all sleep now. Here are beds for all of you." Magnus made beds appear in the living room and he left to the bedroom with Alec. Raphael and Simon left to Raphael's old room.
At 10am, they all woke up to Alec's alarm and groaned. Alec got up and went to the kitchen. He started making pancakes and thinking of how they could find Clary's mom. Everyone else came in the kitchen for some coffee and Jace said, "Now today, we work on finding Clary's mom." Clary nodded and smiled. Alec put the pancakes on plates and grabbed the syrup and butter. He put them on the counter and grabbed plates too. He also grabbed silverware. He put it all on the counter and got some pancakes. He started eating and everyone grabbed some too except Simon and Raphael. Alec handed them some blood Magnus left in the fridge for them. Magnus came out in his pj's and saw everyone eating. Jace said, "You okay Magnus."
Magnus said, "I had a really weird dream last night."
Alec said, "There's pancakes if you want any. You sure you okay." Magnus nodded and got some pancakes. Then he made a tv appear and changed it to some crime show he loves. Alec looked at Magnus and noticed he was tense a little. Alec said, "Magnus, talk to me if you need to." Magnus sighed and told Alec about his nightmare. Alec said, "You know that would never happen right." Magnus nodded.
Jace said, "Go to Tokyo for a few hours before we try to find Clary's mom. Get your mind off it." Alec nodded and Magnus smiled. They finished breakfast and they started getting dressed.
They came out of the room 45 minutes later and left through a portal.
They came back 3 hours later after going shopping and having some lunch. Jace smiled at how happy Alec and Magnus are. Alec grabbed something and gave it to Magnus. It was a omamori. Magnus said, "Thanks." Then he kissed Alec and broke it.
Alec said, "What are we doing about Clary's mother?"
Clary said, "Tracking her of course. Warlock tracking is the best. My father may have her as a hostage and being Valentine's daughter doesn't change how I feel about my dad murdering downworlders for the cup which I know is bad." Magnus nodded and Clary gave Magnus a shirt of her mom's. Magnus tracked her using it and nodded.
Magnus said, "A warehouse near one of the docks is where he's holding her. You can't go alone Clary. He's going to know you're there. He also will do something to make you believe he's someone else."
Clary said, "I'll take Raphael and Alec and Jace with me." Magnus nodded and smiled. Clary left with the other 3 to the warehouse Magnus told her to go to.
They got there and saw demons everywhere. Jace said, "We're surrounded."
Clary said, "Not for long." Clary took the cup out of her bag and smirked. Clary said, "Demons leave now." The demons left. Raphael called Magnus to make a portal and Clary gasped. She saw someone.
Alec said, "Grab him. We will bring him to the institute. I don't trust him."
Raphael grabbed the man and Jace said, "Magnus made a portal to the institute sanctuary." Raphael nodded and they walked through.
They were in the sanctuary and they saw everyone else in the group. Lydia said, "Take this man to the dungeon Alec and Jace." They nodded and went to the dungeon.
They came back and Jace said, "The man wasn't who he said he is. The man is Valentine. We just captured Valentine. Get Luke and Magnus will get Jocelyn back. Your brother is still out there Clary and we will find him and kill him. Simon can get Luke here. We will take Jocelyn to the command center and get her back. Let's go. We will start when Luke gets here." They all walked to the command center with Jocelyn in her sleeping state.
