After lunch, Alec was playing a game on his phone and he finished the level he was on. Alec threw his phone on the table and sighed. Alec said, "I'll be in the room having a nap."
Alec went to the bedroom and laid down. He wasn't feeling well at all. Alec closed his eyes and tried to fall asleep, but couldn't. He grabbed a book and turned off the light and closed the curtains. He turned on a lamp and started reading. Alec sighed and went to the box he had Magnus put in the closet on the shelf. He opened the box and grabbed his old bear and took off his clothes. He left a pair of boxers on and laid down on the bed with his old bear. He covered himself up and started falling asleep.
An hour and a half later, Magnus said, "I'll check on him."
Magnus went to the bedroom and saw Alec asleep holding a bear. Magnus smiled and kissed him on the forehead. Magnus gasped because Alec was getting hotter than normal. Magnus put a cold towel on Alec's forehead.
Magnus went to the living room and sighed. Jace said, "Something wrong."
Magnus said, "Alec's hot. Not like that. His temperature is rising. Has Alec ever gotten sick before?"
Isabelle said, "Never. He's never been sick. Even when he was a baby, he never got sick is what my parents told me."
Magnus said, "It may just be a cold, but I don't know."
3 hours later, Alec woke up all sweaty and he went to the living room. Everyone looked at him and gasped. Simon said, "Alec, you're all sweaty and disgusting."
Alec said, "I'm not feeling good at all. I'm sweaty and hot and feverish. My body aches a little."
Magnus said, "A common cold and fever. You should stay in bed till you're all better. I can make you chicken soup and get you another cold cloth."
Alec said, "I want to stay right here for cuddles with you."
Magnus sighed and summoned the couch he has in France. He put Alec on it and covered him up. He made some soup and gave it to Alec. Alec started eating it and smiled. He finished the soup and coughed. He sighed and Magnus sat beside him. Alec hummed and Magnus felt his forehead. Magnus summoned a thermometer and put it in Alec's mouth. Magnus took it out and gasped. Magnus said, "Temperature of 104. That's way too high. We need to cool you down." Magnus summoned a fan and had it fanning Alec. Alec moaned and ran to the sink. He threw up. Alec moaned and fell on the ground. Magnus gasped when Alec's temperature went up to 105. Magnus said, "Raphael, call Catarina. Tell her Alec's temperature is going up every minute and that he's coming to the hospital." Raphael nodded.
Magnus made a portal. Alec said, "It hurts." Jace and Simon helped Alec through and they all went through.
They were at a hospital and they saw Catarina. Catarina had them put Alec on the bed. Catarina said, "He needs a cat scan and xray and many others. No blood test though." They nodded and sat down in the waiting room.
An hour later, Catarina came back and smiled. Magnus said, "How is he?"
Catarina said, "He was put in the ICU. Room 109 and he just had the tests done. We will let you know what we find." Magnus nodded and they all walked to the ICU.
They got there and saw Alec on a bed asleep. He was still sweating though and Magnus was getting worried. Magnus said, "Call your mom." Isabelle nodded.
Magnus sat down in the chair beside the bed and held Alec's sweaty hand. Magnus rubbed his thumb across Alec's hand and started crying. Raphael hugged Magnus and said, "He will be okay Magnus. He won't die. It's not his time yet." Magnus nodded.
