Chapter 1 To Konoha!

I packed mine and Suzu’s things and hurried to get ready. Today we were leaving for Konoha and I had to be on my feet. Why you ask? Well it was almost time for the chunin exams and the lead guards who guided everyone there were me, Gaara, a dummy known as Kankuro, my friend Anna and her son Kenichi, Shikamaru, and another friend of mine Temari and her daughter Chou.

The rest of the traveling group was a bunch of genin and there sensei’s. I was a bit nervous; this was my first mission in months! I sat on my bed and looked at the ceiling remembering my last mission. I had to break the alliance between the mystery village and the leaf and also with the sand.

I smiled. That was the first time I met Gaara. I then frowned and remembered what happened.

‘Geez I was a real bitch back then. I just hope Konoha doesn’t keep grudges.

I finished packing and through my bag over my shoulders. I then picked up my sleepy cat friend and headed out the door.

‘Gotta look sharp! This is an important mission!’

*****At the gate to leave the village******

I sweat dropped looking at Anna who was in a small dark purple sundress and hat holding Kenichi.

“Cal! You ready to leave?!” Anna yelled as I neared her.

“What are you wearing? This is an important mission right?”

“Nah not really, I mean we already know the hidden leaf wouldn’t betray us and it’s not like we’re in the exams so it’s more like a vacation really.”

“A Vacation?!”

“Yep! Oh and don’t worry, if you forgot any cute clothes we can just buy you some. Konoha has really good fashion sense. Oh! You’ll also be able to meet Kenichi’s god father, Kiba.”

I relaxed and smiled.

“Yeah I guess so.” I said smiling.

****I’m too lazy to write a three day journey so time skip!****

I hadn’t seen Gaara much these past three days since he was always busy with leading everyone there and making sure we all stayed together. I guess this was a vacation for some more than others.

“Hey Cali-Chan look! Isn’t that it up ahead?!” Suzu said excitedly.

I looked up ahead and smiled.

“Yep, that’s it.”

‘Please don’t remember me! Please oh please oh please!’ I thought over and over feeling the pressure build inside me.

I nearly jumped when I felt a hand on my shoulder; I turned my head to see Gaara smiling at me.

“Don’t worry you’ll be fine.” Gaara said and I nodded with a smile.

(Warning!: This is where the story changes big time! It kinda strays from the actual show.) 

We made it to the gates and were greeted by the blonde known as Naruto who was wearing the Hokage uniform.

‘He’s the Hokage now?! That’s it I’m screwed.’

“Hey Gaara long time no see.” Naruto said and Gaara nodded.

“When did you become Hokage?” Kankuro said in disbelief.

“A few months ago, Granny Tsunade decided to retire. She still works at the hospital though.” Naruto said and turned his attention to me.

‘No no no no no! Don’t look at me!’

“Hey who are you again?”

‘He forgot me? Really?’
