Chapter 3

A volley of arrows flew through the skies. A bolt of lightning struck from the skies. Percy summoned a huge tidal wave in hope to give the demons a nice summer bath, but they kept coming in swarms as if it were a game of Tower Defense. Artemis helped fight them off as well."We must get to Camp Half-Blood immediately!" she ordered. "I've called Apollo and he has agreed to help us. Those demons are not of Greek or Roman origins. They aren't even Egyptian or Norse. But if they are being unleashed from Hell, then it means darkness approaches and a prophecy that is older than any of you, older than the Great Prophecy of the Big Three, and the result will not be
good once it is complete."

On cue, Apollo's sun bus came down from the skies crashing into the demons that were still invading. "Get in!" Apollo yelled.

Without question or hesitation, all of us entered the sun bus, except for Artemis. "I must go to Olympus," she said. "I will meet you at camp as soon as I warn Zeus. Be prepared for Operaion Olympus has Fallen."

"Wait, what does that mean?" Percy asked.

"It means your parents are coming to Camp Half-Blood. It's a necessary procedure that exists for this very scenario. With all 14 gods and goddesses present at camp, the borders will be stronger and we'll be prepared for anything that happens next. The minor gods and goddesses and deities are put in charge of protecting Olympus and sacred relms such as Atlantis and the Underworld. Hestia will stay to make sure they maintain order. It is used only as a last resort, but it was made for this moment," Artemis explained. "We will tell more about it at camp. Now go!"

With that the doors shut and the bus flew off in a blaze. Percy tried to process what Artemis just said. What was happening? What was Operation Olympus Has Fallen? What war was about to occur? So many thoughts ran through his head. Apollo was driving at the speed of light so they arrived at camp in seconds. As soon as they landed, they all climbed off of the bus only to be greeted by swarms of demigods. Whispers and murmurs could be heard as Percy walked into their lines of sight. Gasps could be heard as people began to recognize him.

"Percy? Thalia?" Nico asked with a puzzled look. "Why are you guys here?"

"We're staying at camp right now," Percy said. "A war is coming."

"I could feel it in the Underworld," Nico said. "Something is not right."

"What do you mean?" Percy asked.

"I can't feel anyone. I can't feel Annabeth, Silena, Beckendorf, Bianca, or anyone," he said. "And they haven't tried for reincarnation yet.

"What does that mean?" Percy repeated.

"It means the spirits have been corrupted and resurrected," a familiar voice said from the shadows. "But not in a manner any person should see or experience."

Hades revealed himself in the shadows. "The Hells have broken loose. None of the spirits are where they should be, and who knows where they could be," he said.

Apollo's eyes suddenly glowed green and a mist came from his mouth.

The darkness grows as all light dies
All loved and hated, the dead shall rise
A final choice shall end the above
Only to sacrifice the ones you love

After the last line, Apollo immediately collapsed as Will caught him. "What does that mean?" Percy asked again.

With those words there were a series of flashes as each god and goddess appeared before us. Everyone immediately kneeled in their honor. "Rise," Zeus ordered. "No need to bow at this time. Operation Olympus Has Fallen is now in effect. Think of it as some bonding time with your parents as we try to figure out how to deal with this situation. To the ampitheater! We must gather every camper here so I can explain everything. Except for Percy, Thalia, and Nico. You three are going with Athena, Poseidon, and Hades. They will explain everything and tell you what to do."

"Why me?!" Percy groaned.
