"Is this really all you'll need?" Keith gave the cashier a simple nod and took the apples and bandages off the counter. The cashier sighed and ran a hair through his white bangs.
"I'll be going now...." "Wait- Keith! Are you sure you doing need anything else? You know you don't have to pay, please take anything you need." Keith looked up to meet the taller man's gaze. "I'll be fine Shiro, I'm 27 years old, not 10." Shiro turned and became occupied by whatever sack of supplies the shop needed unpacked and stocked. "I'm just saying, you should be a little more careful being that you're-" "I know Shiro," said Keith quickly revoking him the chance of finishing the sentence.
The shop filled with silence as Keith shoved the last bit of supplies in his satchel. "I'm off." He didn't dare give the other male a final gaze before leaving. Still, from the corner of his eye he could see the other male waving him goodbye.
The sandy breeze roughly brushed up against his cheeks. Children ran across the dirt roads, obnoxious shouts often following. Keith brought his attention towards them, then back to his incomprehensible, wrinkled map. He flipped his hood on and took a deep breath.
"Panthera or bust I guess."~~~~
If you lived in a small town, you'd think not many benefits would come out of it. Now if you've lived in Felis, which was a small town right in the middle of the eastern continent, you'd have a load of benefits. Keith knew this and was more than grateful for it. Thanks to this, he was able to reach the border of Panthera in less than five hours.
Map of Eastern Continent
He looked up from the shadows of his cloak and onto the rays of the setting sun that onto the Ancient Egyptian- styled houses, much different from the Mounds in Felis or Lupus.
A/N: No resemblance to the disease, purely coincidental.
Keith tugged at the sides of his hood to make sure his ears weren't as noticeable. He couldn't stand the thought of anyone here finding out. That'd be a trip wasted and a lifetime of yet to be collected information unattainable, and Keith for one would not have that. He began to evaluate his surroundings. Starting with the small building which he guessed was a bar of some kind, hence the loud chattering and drunken men stumbling about near the entrance. "Well, I've gotta start somewhere." He lowered his head so that the hood's shadow would cast across his face.
Keith felt himself tense up as he hesitantly walked into the pub. Luckily for him, nobody even spared him a glance. Everyone was either, occupied with their food, or too engaged in their conversations. Which was more than enough reassurance for Keith to feel somewhat at ease. Just in case though, he lowered his ears so they wouldn't stick out from under his hood. His stomach let out a low growl that urged him to take a seat at the bar. He digressed it, and sat on one of the surprisingly low stools.
