"Spoonful of sugar helps the medicine go down" Cass and I sang while we were finishing to set everything for the New Year Eve party.
"In the most delightful wayyyy!" Cass sang more.
I won't lie. Cass voice was amazing. Everyone complimented her voice but she didn't think she could sing.
"I didn't know you wanted to go solo." I said and she giggled.
"After all, the decorations turned out amazing." Cass said and we both looked at the house that we decorated in less then 12 hours.
"I know." I said and rest my head on her shoulder.
It was one of those moment, we were proud of what we made. But our moment got ruined when someone rang at the door.
"I got it." I said and walked over the door.
"But you didn't put your heels on." Cass said but it didn't matter.
I opened the door to reveal ; Taylor, Trey, Colby, Aaron, Chris, Darrick, two girls that I didn't know and Cameron. I didn't see him in a while. I just looked at him a second but then it hit me. I was probably looking like a freak.
"Come in." I ended up saying and opened the door wildly for them to come in.
"What a surprise. I was sure that you guys would have been the late ones." Cass said when they all walked in. She was walking in her high heels and looking flawless. "Welcome to the best New Years Eve party ever!" She yelled and they all came to hug her.
I didn't get a hug.
"I'm going to finish my look." I ended up saying and I walked up the stairs to my bedroom.
Don't worry. I'm not going to cry or something. I just need to put my high heels and actually style my hair into something and maybe put makeup. I looked at my reflection. I actually looked like a mess. I decided to curly my hair. It couldn't be that bad. I just started to curl my hair and put a little music on since they didn't seem to have music downstairs.

After I think 45 minutes doing my hair and actually putting a little bit of lipstick, I walked downstairs. The house was a little more crowded. I looked through everyone, trying to find Cass or a familiar face. Most of the people here, were most of Cass friends.
"Isabella!" I heard my name. I looked and find Christian and Kirsten together. I smiled and stepped down the stairs to get to them.
"If it isn't my favorite couple." I smiled and hugged them.
"You're so pretty." Kirsten complimented.
"Thank you but did you see yourself?" I said and we both hugged again.
"It's been a while." Christian ended up saying.
"I know. I missed you, monkey." I said and he laughed.
Christian and I knew each other since I think... 3 years now? I'm not sure. Fun fact, if I know Cameron today it's because of him. It's actually a story worth telling. Basically, I think I was in the mountain. I don't even remember why. And then I heard yelling. So, I ran because somehow, I wanted to save someone or maybe just help. And when I arrived I saw like 3 guys laughing. I didn't get it. I walked over to them and I was mad and probably was yelling at them for like an hour but they explained that they were doing a vine. They showed it to me. It was just two people walking and then they see a hole and check in it and at the end it's just Marcus running to the camera looking crazy. [A/N : that vine just came into my head... idk why but memories #ripvine] Anyway, we all stayed in touch because duh. They looked fun and I literally just moved in a small apartment alone in California. So, I got to know them and I remember a day that they called me because Marcus was going to do this audition or something for a movie. So, I went with them and I was like helping with Marcus for his role. At last, when we arrived there. We had to meet with other people. And there Cameron was auditioning for a role.
I remember the way he looked at me and then I looked at him. That's when he started with his :
"Are you blushing?"
And I was like 'no' but he totally was yelling that I was blushing and we just became friends after that...
"Earth to you?" Cass snapped her fingers in my face.
"What? Where's Chris and Kris?" I asked.
"I saved them from you." Cass ended up saying.
"I wasn't that-" I started and she just started to pull me walking fast. To fast.
I'M IN HIGH HEELS CASS. THIS IS ABOUT TO END BAD FOR ME.
"Lost? No, not at all." Cass said. I could feel the sarcasm while she pulled me in the kitchen.
"Why are you in a rush, exactly?" I asked while she finally stopped when we reached the patio. She closed the door behind her.
"Izzy. You're my best friend and I'm starting to really be worried about you. You've just seen off or how would you say it. Lost? You've been like this since you went to dinner with Sebastian's. family. I don't want to point fingers or anything but it's kind of annoying me that you're not telling me anything. I want to know what happened over there. And I don't care if you said 'it's not important'. I don't know if Sebastian is out of your life or still in it. Or really what is going on with you." Cass ended up saying. I looked at her blankly. What did she want me to respond to her.
"He was going to ask me to marry him." I ended up saying.
"And that's something you don't want to share with me? What? You're engaged now or something?" She asked.
"I said no." I said.
"Okay... I don't get why you've-" She started.
"I didn't just say no because I didn't want to marry him. It's because it got me thinking. He said that we loved each other and that he saw no problem with us getting married. But I never said that I loved him. He always did say that he love me. But, I don't feel like I honestly ever loved him. Also, I never said that I did. Or if I did... I wasn't thinking." I said and a tear dropped.
Cass just looked at me.
"I know. It's confusing and I don't make sense. But when his mother told me he was going to ask me to marry him. I didn't know what to do because she kept talking about this wonderful couple that she saw. But really it was all Sebastian. I don't feel like I ever did something to show him that I loved him or anything. It was always him. Then she talked about being stuck between two boys and that she felt like she did the wrong decision. I feel like I've made the wrong decision." I said and more tears were escaping my eyes.
"What decision?" Cass asked.
"Cameron. I pushed him away and I was being just a little bitch because I was selfish. I wanted a relationship. And I had that with Sebastian and I didn't want to go back to playing 'games' with Cameron or whatever we had. We've known ourselves for so freaking long and we never dated, kissed but we would say that we liked each other. What type of thing is that. And I felt good to have a relationship like I wanted one for so long. True, I had a relationship. But I don't think it was with the right guy." I ended up saying.
And in the background, I heard the numbers counting down.
10, 9, 8, 7, 6, 5
Then everyone started rushing outside. I quickly turned my head in direction of the sky waiting for the fireworks. I didn't want people to see I was crying.

HAPPY NEW YEAR!
The fireworks started. When I finally looked down from the fireworks, my eyes met with something that just crushed my heart. Cameron. He was kissing another girl. Most of people were kissing someone since it's the new year but...
Cameron...
