Chapter 9 Getting back to normal Life

It's amazing what waking up in your own bed and home does to one's mood as I smiled kissing Dwight, then let Max jump on the bed when I got up. I laughed as Dwight growled and wrestled with Max in the bed, both getting completely wrapped up in the sheets as I went and showered. After drying off , I walked out in just a towel hearing Dwight moan “Oh so not fair, I can't touch or love on you since we need to meet Jacob for breakfast in an hour sexy.” I smirked as I leaned over him and brushed my lips against his neck whispering “ Maybe, think about what you have to look forward to later tonight then handsome.”

I stood back up as he chuckled smacking my ass and then he went to take a shower while I dressed in a soft western shirt, my black jeans and boots. I brushed out my hair and grabbed my Stetson as he came out drying off , I groaned since he was totally nude, he winked then got dressed. We both walked out, Dwight locked the door and we headed down to the lobby as we smiled to Carrie then Dwight went out the doors letting Max run around. I put my stuff behind the desk as Jacob walked up smiling to Carrie making her blush, I chuckled and Dwight smirked at her. Jacob has always looked handsome in western clothes so now was no different as he had on a dark blue western shirt, tight wrangler jeans and his black Stetson.

I told Carrie I would be back to help her after breakfast as she already had her's in front of her like usual, Jacob winked at her as Dwight slapped his back laughing “ Whoa cowboy, she has a boyfriend already.” Jacob chuckled and we walked into the dining room seeing most of the wranglers already chowing down. They all turned looking at us then they cheered, whooped and hollered as I blushed and Dwight smiled to them. Jacob leaned over saying “ I think someone was definitely missed baby girl.” Dwight replied “ You have no idea, these men and this ranch just seem lost when Kandi isn't here Jacob.” Jeb smiled as he came out from the kitchen holding a spoon and raised his eye brow as we three laughed. He placed it in front of me as I tasted it and nodded yes saying “Delicious as always Jeb, how I so missed this.” when he smirked saying “ Never will again boss because we all agreed you aren't ever road tripping again.” Jacob and dwight laughed as I blushed while we got a plate and started getting our breakfast.

Dwight led us to our table in the back by the big bay window, I asked Jacob when we started eating “ So how's your suite Jake?” He nodded as he chewed then swallowed saying “ Huge, nice and thank you sir for a place to stay for the next three years.” Dwight nodded and said “ I think she'd kill me if I didn't son, plus it's good to have my love happy with family here for her.” I nodded yes as they both smirked then Dwight and I took turns telling Jacob all about the lodge, ranch and business. Dwight also told Jacob to use any one of the ranch vehicles if needed anytime and where the sheriff's office was in town since Jacob needed to check in there today. Dwight turned looking at me as I raised an eye brow he said “ Oh and you miss need to also go to town to pick out your new truck as that god awful thing you have now is like dead.”

I slapped his arm his saying “ My truck may be well used and old but she got me here to you didn't she?” Jacob cleared his throat saying “ Baby girl that was your dad's old truck, give it a decent burial, I know how much you love it but come on.” I growled as we had a tense debate then sighed saying “ Fine, you guys win, I will get a newer truck, happy?” They both nodded with smirks on their faces as I grumbled at them. We also needed to return the car Dwight had rented so we agreed to all head into town now, when I told Hank as he walked by to let Carrie know I'd stop by the desk before we left for town as he smiled and nodded to me. The guys talk about their plans for picking the Tux colors for our wedding at Thanksgiving, so when I stopped by the desk, Carrie asked me to look around in town for the colors I wanted for the maid of honor and bridesmaid dresses. I groaned as they all laughed when Carrie and I chatted about the wedding plans as Dwight explained some of what happens when the lodge has guests to Jacob.
