"Brinley," a voice echoes from within the darkness, "Brinley, come along."

The pain on my chest vanishes and I listen to this unknown voice in the darkness. Perhaps it can help me to understand what had happened to me only moments earlier. Why The Beast had only chased Liam and I to scratch us, and then run away.

"Where are you?" I ask pushing my way through the shadows, "How am I supposed to follow if I can't see you?"

Suddenly, the darkness turns into the surrounding Blackbird Island. Yet, all the pigmented color erased away. Creating a black, grey, and white atmosphere. An eerie and creepy feeling with it.

A tall man dressed in a neatly kept suit stands in front of me. His facial features unnoticeable in this light.

"Who are you?" I ask walking towards the tall man, cautiously.

"That's something for you to find out. Now come along," the man says turning around running into the deep woods of Blackbird Island.
I quickly follow.

Who is this mysterious man? Where is he taking me? Where is Maddox and Liam? Why does Blackbird Island look this way? So many questions I need to be answered. However, I guess the only way to find out is to continue to follow this man.

We travel deep into the darkness of the forest. It's so dark that I can't even see the path that we are on anymore. And I can barely see the tall man.

We come to a sudden stop in an opening of the forest.

In front of me awaits a large abandoned white mansion with black shutters. One of the biggest creations I have ever seen in Leavenworth, Washington. Why would someone abandon something of this beauty? Even abandoned and deplorable, this house is so beautiful. Nothing I have ever seen before.

"Where are we?" I ask following the man to the front door of the house.

"Bleddyn Mansion. One of the most prestigious houses of it's time," the man says opening the front door, "Please. Come in."

Inside everything is polished and furnished as if the house were brand new. Colorful beyond imagine. Reds, golds, and whites filling every room. Not black, grey, and white like it was outside.

The entry way is one of the most remarkable things I have ever seen. The decorations surrounding the foyer must have cost thousands. Everything looks as if it were bought by a billionaire. Is this an illusion? Is this not an abandoned mansion, is the man playing tricks on me.

"This is beautiful," I say as the man closes the heavy wood door behind him.

"Isn't it. Just as I remember it."

Remember it? What does he mean by that?

I glance around in the room beside me. A large pearl white kitchen, big enough to hold twenty, swarms me with its beauty. Sparkling counter tops, smooth white tile floor, silky red curtains to cover the windows, it's as if I'm in a dream.

"Brinley, follow me," the man says walking up the wide velvet red staircase.

This man keeps on telling me to follow him. What is this important for me to follow? I don't even know this man, or even what he looks like. His face is still an absolute blur to me. It's very strange, this whole situation.

The man leads me to a large open room to the left of the staircase. The room filled with large velvet couches and places to sit, an entertaining room. One of the best I've ever seen. An old radio player at the center of entertainment, and no television. And all the large windows covered with curtains.
