"There are a matter of different ceremonies that will need to be performed tonight. Therefore, two from the crowd of which we have handpicked will be in charge of getting these two ready to go," Roseanna says in the same stern manner.
As I look in the crowd, I can tell that everyone is on the edge of there seat. This must be a deed that everyone wants to do, like winning the lottery or something. Everyone except for the guy I had made eye contact with.
"Whoever we pick will take the one they are assigned immediately to the Scott House and be back in a half an hour. Is that understood?"
Scott House? What is that?
"Yes," everyone murmurs.
I can't believe that they are doing this Liam and I. I can't even remember the last time I got attention like this. I'm not quite sure if I like it. I'm so used to being in everyone's shadows, it's rather odd to me.
"Grace, will you please take Liam to the Scott House," Henry says looking to his right at a young girl about my age with long beautiful golden locks and chestnut eyes. She immediately stands to her feet in front of everyone, grins at Liam, and grabs him by the hook of the arm and leads him out of the room. Leaving me alone in front of everyone.
"As for Brinley," Henry says searching the room, everyone in the center eager for the words to be released from his mouth.
"Harrison Case, please escort Miss Thomas to the Scott House."
All eyes immediately dart towards the guy who I'd made short eye contact with before. He seems absolutely unamused to complete this task. He sighs as he gets up to greet me. He then lightly takes a hold of my arm and leads me out of the room.
"This will be good for you Harrison!" Henry says as we exit the room. Boy, am I in for a ride.
Without an ounce of conversation, he guides me to the opposite end of this ginormous place, his grip on my arm tight. He seems as though his thoughts are controlling his head, like he's completely out of it. Perhaps he's nervous or maybe just uninterested.
We stop in front of a rather small hut, maybe the size of a small shed, secluded from the rest of the surrounding houses. Yet this one has hundreds of tiny little fairy lights surrounding it. It feels peaceful and safe.
"Alright," Harrison says nervously in a higher pitched voice than I imagined him to have, "I'm going to guide you through this entire process, so don't get stressed or worried. I got all that covered. All you have to do is relax and I'll do all the work. If you have any questions while we're in here please feel free to ask."
He opens the small door to the Scott House, allowing me to walk in first like any gentlemen would. He won't have to worry because I'm definitely going to ask many questions. I want to know what I'm getting myself into.
Inside is a beautiful sight.
Everything inside is polished woods and it seems as though it might have all been hand made too. Large pastel crystals hanging from the ceiling and ontop of many of the little nooks. Old weathered books lie on bookshelves near a large source of sustainable fairy light in the corner, like a little sun almost, and many different liquids and powders I've never seen before. As Harrison takes me farther back in the house, I realize it is a lot bigger than it looks from the outside. Perhaps it is enchanted? In the far back of the room lies a large pool of water in the corner of windows, fairy lights hanging above it. But that's not the best part, the whole back wall is windows, and it leads outside to another large pool of water. It's interesting the way it is all set up, yet it is so so beautiful.
"This is amazing," I say astonished.
"Isn't it," Harrison says grabbing a dark purple plum liquid from the counter to our left as we had first walked in, "Drink this."
