"No I do not want a cheeseburger, I want a normal burger." I snap at the cashier of the diner Zayn and I have stopped at.

The cashier taps her long red nails on the counter and smacks down on her thick wad of gum for a couple of moments before replying. "So I have you wanting two cheeseburgers two fries and a large coca cola." She says in a weird accent.

"No!" I huff and see Zayn rise from our table. "Can I just get a normal burger?"

"Now our burgers all come with cheese on them." She snaps and rolls her eyes at me, which are covered in a large quantity of makeup. She seems to be underage, maybe sixteen working for the first time.

"Okay you dumb ass let me say this again-" Zayn's arm rests on my shoulders protectively and I turn and give him a muffled frown.

"I'll give you two a moment." She says and turns to the phone on the wall and calls someone who excites her immediately.

"What's wrong Trish?" Zayn asks and holds me in front of him by my shoulders.

"She's a dumb ass and I don't feel like putting up with bull shit, that's what." I snap and then retaliate. "I'm sorry, she just wouldn't let me have a burger without cheese and I don't know why I'm so mad about it."

"Hey, we can go to a different restaurant before we head on the road." He pulls me in for a hug and kisses my head. "Calm down, she's young and stupid."

I pull back and stare up into his eyes. "Like us." I whisper and he places a small kiss on my lips, I smile widely at him and let his arm remain on my shoulder.

"Yeah, like us." He laughs slightly and we walk from the diner, stopping at a cheap store and picking up stuff for sandwiches since spending money on worthless food is too much of a hastle. I make the sandwiches when we get to a park bench table and watch as Zayn eats a few chips before smashing some between the bread.

"It's a waste of chips." I smile and grab one from his bag.

"It's a good way to waste them." He takes a big bite before downing half his coke. I smile at him and can't help to burst out in laughter at the bush growing from his face.

"What?" He laughs. "What's so funny?" I drink some of his coke and continue to laugh.

"It's, that." I flick at the beards hair and laugh for the thousandth time. "It looks good, but it's just so funny."

"I am twenty four Trish."

"My dad could never grow one like that." I gasp and laugh at him even more. My laughter has been uncontrollable every since I met him, I've never laughed like this before. Once again I start up with the I never's, they bug me so damn much I just can't help it.

"I'm going to kill you." He frowns and gives me a dead eye. "Start running." I jump up from my seat and run towards the trees lining the park, there's a whole line of them going up and down the park, straight lines; and it's actually very beautiful.

"Trish!" Zayn yells when I duck behind a thick tree. I hear a short silence before I take a peak from the back of the tree and I don't see Zayn.

"Gotcha!" I hear and an arm wraps around me and throws me over their shoulder. Zayn laughs historically when I kick at his chest and scream, a few people around take notice but don't pay us any mind.

"Um.. Trish?" Zayn sets me down and has a concerned look on his face.

"Yeah?" I ask and i catch his gaze on a piece of paper that is stapled to the tree, it's the last thing I'd ever think I'd see.

My face is on the paper, with a phone number and air quotes. "We only want our daughter back- she's been gone for about two weeks and nothing worries a mother more than her own child missing from their home."
