Tring!! Tring!!
I woke up with a start and looked at my alarm clock; Phew! Thankfully, it had started to work properly again but oh! What a dreadful noise! Though I may be thankful to it for waking me up so as to see that Sarah doesn't splash water on me again, I really hate the way it rings.
Honestly, alarm clocks really need to go hi-tech!
I got into the bathroom, giving off a tremendous yawn and looked myself at the bathroom mirror. Well, like everyone else, I did look like a mess......or at least my hair did. I could make out two horns of hair sticking out from the rest! Seeing your hair when you wake up in the morning is a really funny sight.
After I had my bath, I slipped into a simple T-shirt since it was warm today and a pair of jeans. Checking my bag to see if I have forgotten to keep a notebook, I hopped downstairs. Breakfast was in the making and I got a whiff of Sarah's perfume from her bedroom.
Girls....their perfumes are always suffocating!
I could also smell sausages and an omelette. Keeping my bag by the sofa, I took my seat. Soon, Sarah arrived, bright and full of her awful perfume. It was a rose perfume but it still suffocated me.
''Hey Miss Suffocating Rose!'' I called out to her, annoyed.
Yeah, I know the nickname wasn't a catchy one but I am not the best at nicknames anyway.
''Oh, good morning, Mr. Pussy Preacher! Had mice for breakfast?'' came the reply.
Well, she is just the opposite; a star at making nicknames. Well, this totally beats me. I could only grunt in defeat.
''You know, brother, you always amuse me when you make stupid nicknames.'' she smirked.
I waved it off and soon, we had breakfast and left the house. The bus had still not come and we stood at our stand, waiting for it.
A few minutes later, Sean-one of our neigbours-who was of my age, came with his sister Helen, who was a year younger than me, to the bus-stand. Sean had a crush on Sarah but didn't talk too much to her in my presence incase I bashed him up.
Well, I had no problem with him loving my sister because he was quite a fine guy and not like those jerks in my class. He really hated me for no reason though Helen was always friendly to me. She came upto me and started talking.
''So, how was your day yesterday?''
''Pretty fine! What about you?''
''Not too good. Didn't I tell you of Jade, the girl who is always jealous of me? Well, she tripped me yesterday and I nearly fell into the school pond, only to be caught in time by Sean!'' she replied.
I smiled; I had a similar day too. We couldn't talk for long since my school bus had arrived just right now and after saying a quick goodbye, I hopped into the bus along with Sarah. Just then, as Sarah hopped into the bus, a paper ball flew into the bus. I looked up and saw that it was Sean who had thrown it and he looked alarmed since Sarah missed it and it was I who found it.
It was lying on the floor and since it was partly opened but crumpled, I decided to read it. Ignoring the other guys who called me nicknames, I took the paper ball, sat on my seat and straightened it out. I got angry as I slowly started to read it.
Dear Sarah.......
I ❤ you like damn crazy!! You don't know how I feel when I see you everyday,at the bus stop. I am so sorry to say this but I really hate your brother!!!! He thinks he's a Know-It-All!!! You know what? When I marry you, I will marry Harris off to Helen and they could work as our servants!! She's just as crazy to mingle with him!!! I am sure you would agree, right? Saturday is coming up and my parents and sister will be out for shopping. Want to hop in?
