Chapter 11

I glanced out the window and smiled at the wolves I saw around the house. It had been about 6 weeks since Kelsie and I found out we were having triplets and my beautiful mates’ stomach was starting to get nice and round. My wolf was ecstatic at seeing his mate plump with his pups. Tearing my eyes from the window, I focused on the snack that I was making for my love. I finished putting the mayo on the bread and closed her sandwich, grabbed the six pickles that she asked for and made sure to grab the jar of peanut butter as well. I made my way back upstairs and Dustin laughed at me when he saw what was in my hands.

“Midnight snack, huh?” he said with a chuckle.

“Yup, same for you?” I replied. About three weeks after Kelsie and I found out we were expecting, Dustin and Katie also found out they were having triplets as well; this house will be full of pups soon.

“Of course.” He said with a sigh “I’m supposed to return with a salad, ham and cheese sandwich and some pretzel sticks with marshmallow fluff for dip.” He added with a shudder “I don’t know how the girls can eat such nastiness!”

“I’ve learned to not ask. Kelsie’s gonna dip the pickles into the peanut butter! Makes me cringe every time I see it and all I get in return is cursed out for making fun of her eating habits.” I replied with a chuckle.

“I know the feeling dude! Six more weeks and the pups will be here and I won’t have to deal with the mood swings anymore.” Dustin replied with a grimace.

“I know, right! One minute she’s happy, the next mad, then in tears, and finally back to happy! I swear I can’t take it much longer.” I said with a chuckle as I shook my head.

“Well I’m sorry I’m such a pain!” I heard from behind me as I turned to see my beautiful mate with tears in her eyes staring at me from the top of the stairs. “Maybe I should just go stay with my parents so you don’t have to deal with me anymore!” she added before the water works started and she turned to run back to our room.

“Fuck!” I cursed as Dustin cracked up laughing next to me.

“Have fun with that one.” Dustin said in between laughter as I ran up the stairs as fast as I could with the tray in my hands.

I kicked open the door to our room and let out a low growl when I saw her with a duffle bag on the bed and throwing clothes into it. I set the tray of food down on the dresser and immediately went to her side. I wrapped my arms around her stomach and was about to kiss the top of her shoulder when she threw my arms off of her and walked around the bed to the closet.

“Damnit Kels” I said with a growl “You know I didn’t mean it like that”

“Y – yes you d – did!” she said in between sobs as she tore things off the clothes hangers and threw them over towards the bed “Just stay away from me! I don’t want to be near you if you think that I am an emotional nutcase!”
