“DON’T TELL ME TO CALM THE FUCK DOWN!” I roared “my mate is lying on the bed unconscious and no one wants to tell me why.”

“Relax, Dominic, your mate will be just fine” Jacob, the pack’s doctor said once he used his wolf’s ‘magic’ to determine her physical state. You see, certain wolves are born with certain gifts; pack doctors are born with the ability to sense what is wrong with a wolves physique and heal whatever the problem is, warrior wolves can sense an opponent’s next move in a fight and react accordingly and also have a larger build and more strength than most wolves, scouting wolves have the ability to know where each and every pack member are at any given time and can sense when unwanted or rogue wolves are near, and alpha wolves, well we get a little bit of everything, except the healing aspect of things, that is the only trait of a wolf that an alpha doesn’t gain.

“I know, Jacob, I know, I just want to know why the fuck she passed out like that. She was fine just moments before and then all of a sudden she’s on the floor.”

“Oh my god! What happened to my baby! Katie just told me she passed out, what on earth happened.” Maggie shrieked as her and Jake come barging in the room. My wolf growled at the fact that I was pushed away from my mate but calmed slightly when he realized it was just her mother worried about her pup.

“I don’t know” I told her parents “One minute she’s fine and the next she’s out cold on the floor, well, almost on the floor had I not been there to catch her.”

“Oh, my poor baby” Maggie said as she pushed Kelsie’s hair back away from her eyes.

The second her mothers’ hand made contact with her skin, Kelsie started thrashing around in the bed and screaming in her sleep. Maggie dropped her hand and skidded back to the wall with a look of pure terror on her face and a slight spark of recognition in her eyes.

“You know what’s wrong with her, don’t you?” I growled as I advanced on the now shaking woman “You know why she’s unconscious and acting like this.”

“N-no. I don’t know why she’s acting like this now, but the way she just started thrashing around like that made some old memories resurface” Maggie replied quietly as she looked past me at her mate.

“I doubt that’s what it is, my darling, she hasn’t had any issues in a year and a half and she hasn’t seen him in almost two years.” Jake replied as he walked over to his wife to pull her into his arms.

“What the fuck are you talking about?” I growled between clenched teeth as the thought of my mate being like this has something to do with another man.

Before either one of them answered me, I could tell they were having a private conversation between their bond. Between the facial expressions and the slight growl from her father every few seconds, I knew it wasn’t something good.

“He has a right to know, damnit!” Maggie suddenly exclaimed out loud as she stomped her foot like a child. I bit back the laugh that wanted to escape and was about to force them to tell me when Jake sighed in resignation.
