The One

Chapter 6

Jake's POV

"Jm! May ginagawa ka ba diyan? Samahan mo naman ako dito oh!" Tawag ni tito sa akin habang nag huhugas ako ng pinagkainan namin ni athena.

"Opo tito! Pagkatapos ko dito pupuntahan na kita diyan!" Sigaw ko sa kaniya.

Nang matapos na na ako sa pag huhugas ko ay pinuntahan ko na siya sa labas.

"San sila mama, tito?" Tanong ko sa kaniya.

"Doon sila sa may mga duyan." Sabi niya as he looked at them.

I sat beside with tito. "Sa tingin mo tito, ano kaya pinag uusapan nila." I said seriously.

"Im not sure. Maybe just girl stuff, like make up and dresses. Typical girl topics." Sabi niya. 

"You really like her dont you?" Agad naman bumungad a4ng mga mata ko sa sinabi ni tito.

"I-hindi naman sa- ugh.. what's the point of hiding it. You're just gonna figure it anyway." Sabi ko sa kaniya. "Yeah, i like her so much."

"At it boy." Agad naman niya akong inakbayan. "Dapat ganiyan ka pag dating sa mga babae. Be honest on what you feel about them."

"But I'm still waiting for the right moment. I just can't say it to her suddenly."

"Yeah, you have a point." Sabi niya. "But if you have the time, why would you waste it?" that got me interested.

"What are you trying to say tito?"

"Look up jake. Do you see those stars?" Napatingin naman ako sa taas.

"Yes po. Their amazing. Why?"

"Jake, imagine you are the stars and athena's the moon. While the stars are there with the moon , they try their best to shine. Now look at the wide, blank night sky. Imagine that's your time to say what you feel to her.  Would you let the night fade away without shining?"

"No. But i still dont get what you are trying to say tito."

"Jake. What im trying to say is that, if you have the chance, then take it. Dont let it go to waste."

"But we just met. I don't think this is the perfect moment to say what i feel to her."

"Im not saying that this is the time that you should confess right now, at this very moment. I just want you to have a good memory on how you confessed to her. So that in The future, you'll say this to my future grandchildren."

"Yeah." Napatingin naman ako ulit sa taas. The stars shine so brightly. It's so mesmerizing. I can already picture out me confessing my love for athena. Its perfect. I feel like everything is set up for me. I feel like this is a sign for me to cofess to her.

But i shouldn't just trust my own opinion just because everything is just perfect in my perspective. Sometimes when you feel it's too good, you can feel it in your guts that something bad will happen after that.

But if i dont say it right now, I may miss this perfect opportunity. I'm confused right now.

But I'm pretty sure about what im feeling for her. So..

"Maybe i shoud try to confess to her. But im afraid that im the only one feeling this kind of feeling. Im afraid of being rejected."

Tinapik naman niya ang kaliwa kong braso. "Jake, have confidence in you ok? Wag kang kabahan. If you're rejected, im here for you." Sabi niya pang pa boost sa akin. And it pumped me a lil bit. Pero kinahaban naman ako sa sinabi niya.
