Around 6:00 the next evening I was getting ready to hang out with Grayson. I had just finished getting dressed in a cute, but still comfy outfit. I let my hair fall into its natural curls and put on some soft makeup. I grabbed my bag and headed downstairs to find my parents in the living room.

"Dad, don't get so emotional. I'll be fine. Grayson's a good guy, I can tell. Besides, I'm almost sixteen and sixteen-year-olds go on dates."

"Yes, but you're going to his house on the first date."

"Well, his sister will be upstairs the whole time." I hugged my dad. "I'll call you if I need anything."

"I know," he sighed, "My little girl is all grown up."

I giggled and then there was a knock on the door. I went to the door and opened it. I grinned when I saw Grayson standing there with his hands in his pockets and a nervous look on his face.

"Hey! Nice to see you." I smiled and then pulled him into a hug.

"Nice to see you too. You ready for Netflix and pizza night?" He asked.

"For sure!" I nodded. "We're gonna have a good time."

"Okay, cool. Ethan shouldn't bother us at all tonight since he is taking his date downstairs to the basement."

"Cool, that's perfect."

Then we both got inside of the black Jeep he arrived in which I could only assume belonged to him. Once I got in the passenger's seat I realized there were boxes from Domino's in the backseat. Grayson must have stopped to get it on the way to come get me.

"So, do you drive?" Grayson asked.

"Well I do have my permit, but I don't turn sixteen until next month. I plan on going to get my license the day of my birthday." I said.

"Okay cool. Well if you need any pointers I can give you some. I'm a way better driver than Ethan." Grayson laughed.

I giggled. "I'll keep that in mind."

Once we arrived at Grayson's house we took all of our stuff upstairs to his room.

"I have to keep the door open, sorry." He said.

"No, you're good." I shook my head. "It would've been the same rule at my place."

He then turned on his TV and pushed the Netflix button on the remote.

"You can choose something. You're my guest." He said.

I thanked him and chose a comedy movie. Grayson and I were having a lot of fun together. We ate some pizza and cheese bread and laughed the entire night.

"So what's it like having a twin?" I asked him. "Do you guys ever get tired of always being around each other?"

"We do have our fights and disagreements, as any brothers would, but we always make up. Ethan is my best friend and I love him. I couldn't live without him. I don't know what I'd do if anyone or anything came between us."

"That's sweet. I'm an only child so I wouldn't know what it's like."

"Hm, now what is that like?" Grayson looked at me, "It's so different from the experience I got with an older sibling plus E."

I giggled, "Well, you don't have to share much of anything. You do get the center of attention, but there are some downsides too—don't get me wrong. It can get very lonely if you don't surround yourself with friends and other family members."

Grayson smiled at me, pausing before holding my cheek. "Is it okay if I kiss you?"

I smiled and nodded. Then he pulled me closer to him and gave me a gentle kiss. I blushed and then pulled away.

"You're a really good guy, Grayson. You love your family, you have goals, and you're super smart."

"Thank you. I think you're a really good girl, Leia."

I felt my heart skip a beat when he said my name.

We both smiled at each other for a moment and then continued watching Netflix. Halfway through the movie Grayson laid back on his bed and asked if I wanted to cuddle. Who was I to turn down cuddling with Grayson?

So I took off my shoes and laid next to Grayson. He wrapped his arm around me and kissed my forehead before focusing back on the screen.

Suddenly my head started to ache. It was a very intense stinging pain. So intense that my vision started to blur.

"Ow," I gasped, "Oh, my gosh."

I hopped off the bed, immediately running to the bathroom.

A few seconds later I heard Grayson knocking on the door, "Hey, Leia, are you okay?"

I couldn't focus on anything but the pain in my head. There was this awful ringing noise too.

"Y-Yeah," I stuttered, "I'll only be a m-minute."

The lights started flickering and the pain got stronger, causing me to curl up in a ball on the floor and sigh in pain.

"Please stop, please stop." I cried as the pain was now unbearable.

Then out of no where it all vanquished. The lights stopped flickering, the head pain was gone, and the eery noise had fell silent. I let out small breaths, trying to calm myself down.

"What the hell was that?" I questioned myself.

I got off the floor and went back to Grayson's bedroom.

"Are you okay?" He seemed worried. "You didn't look well when you left."

I shrugged, "It was a really bad migraine. I don't feel too well, do you mind to take me home?"

"No problem, would you like some water first?" Grayson moved to get his shoes on.

I nodded, "Yes, please."

After getting me a water bottle out the fridge we went outside to Grayson's car. I got in the passengers side and he got into the drivers side.

"So when is your birthday? Y'know your big sweet 16?" He asked, probably trying to lighten the mood.

"May 21st." I said before taking a few sips from the water bottle Grayson had given me.

"Wow, so in a few weeks actually." He said.

"Yeah," I grinned, "I'm having a party, do you want to come? Some of my friends from back home are coming."

"Of course I'll come! I'll have Ethan and his girlfriend tag a long with me as well."

"Cool." I smiled. "I look forward to it."

We arrived at my house about ten minutes later. I waited for Grayson to put the vehicle in park before turning to look at him.

"Thank you so much for the ride and the nice night. I'm sorry I kinda ruined the mood with my headache."

He shook his head, "You don't have to apologize. I'm just glad you're feeling alright. We'll talk soon, okay?"

I nodded before opening the passenger door and hopping out of the Jeep. I walked inside of my house and locked the door behind me. All the lights were out which meant my mom and dad must be asleep. I went to my room upstairs and changed into some comfy clothes before going to sleep.
