the next morning came and jisoo got ready earlier than she usually does. "i'll go now, grandma and uncle!" jisoo said as she rushed to the door. jisoo wanted to go to the park again because she wanted to see if husky was there.
she was determined and she knew it herself that it was husky. she walked to school today instead and it was only about 8 when she got there. "is anyone here..?" she asked. there was no one there.
she sat in one of the benches and waited. she took her phone out and listened to her music, just to pass time.
meanwhile, youngjae, didn't want to take the bus today and he walked to school instead. he passed by the park and saw a familiar back figure sitting in the benches. he smiled to himself.
"it really is you.. shin jisoo.." he said.
"i wonder if he's even gonna come this early..." jisoo asked herself. her instinct felt something and felt footsteps coming. she turned around and saw it. her face lit up and youngjae went closer to her. he jumped on top of the bench and sat beside jisoo.
"you really are real.." she said, smiling at it. he stuck his tongue out and wagged his tail. he lifted up one of his paw and asked her to take her hand out. jisoo understood what he wanted her to do and followed. he took away his hand and laid closely to her.
he placed his head on her lap and closed his eyes.
that's why your presence felt so familiar.. youngjae thought in his head.
"you're husky... aren't you?" she asked and he whimpered. she stroked his fur and smiled to herself. "i don't know how you found me, but i'm thankful that you did." she said.
"jisoo! there you are!" jinwoo called. jisoo looked to her left and saw jinwoo running to her. "y-yah.. it's that wolf again!" he shouted. jisoo stood up and covered his mouth. "can you stop shouting?!" she asked in an annoyed way.
"aish, why am i even friends with you.. let's just go before you complain even more." jisoo said, pushing jinwoo forward. she looked back at husky, or shall i say youngjae, and waved at him then left.
after classes went on, jisoo made her way to her locker to drop her stuff off. "hey." a familiar voice called. "oh my god." jisoo said as she got scared. she looked behind her locker door and saw youngjae.
"oh youngjae.. hey!" she greeted cheerfully. "do you want to hangout?" he asked. "hm? s-suddenly..?" she asked a bit surprised. "why?" he asked and suddenly went closer to her face. "a-ahh.. nothing..." she said, turning red.
"okay, let's hang out!" she said with a smile. "i'll treat you a drink as a thank you for helping me out yesterday.." she said and youngjae smiled. jisoo closed her locker and smiled at him. "let's go?" she asked.
the two walked to a store nearby. youngjae, who was of course known publicly, wore his mask and hat just for safety.
"i'll order one green tea with milk!" she said then looked at youngjae. "i'll order a latte." he said smiling at the cashier.
a wolf in form, but a sunshine in heart. that's choi youngjae for you.
they both got their drinks when suddenly jisoo had an idea. "youngjae.. can i trust you?" she asked. youngjae shifted his attention to her and flinched from what she said. "h-huh?" he asked. "i.. ugh.. this might sound weird but.. i wanted to show you something.. it's kind of a secret i guess but.." she rambled on.
youngjae got the idea from what she was saying and nodded. "of course you can trust me!" he said with a laugh. "alright, c'mon!" she said. she grabbed youngjae's wrist and dragged him outside.
she's stronger than expected, haha.. youngjae thought in his head.
they walked back to the school and made their way to the park. "what are we doing here?" youngjae asked. "you'll probably think i'm crazy but.. there was a wolf here. there was seven wolves here!" she said.
"i even know one of them! ughh, i can't explain.. he might be somewhere here though.." jisoo said as she tried to look for husky. "a w-wolf..?" youngjae stuttered and she nodded. "i named the one i know husky.. he has a gray and white fur.." she said.
"i probably sound really crazy right now, don't i?" she asked and youngjae laughed. "no, i believe you." he said. he patted her head and smiled. "please don't tell anyone." she said. "i said you could trust me, right?" he asked and she nodded with a smile.
if only you know that i'm husky.. youngjae said to himself.
