"You ready?"
You breathe out heavily.
"Yes."
The two of you step out onto the platform where the roller coaster is. You and Morty sit in the front, getting the best seats.
You pull your guard over your chest, watching Morty do the same.
"You excited?" Morty asks, clearly excited himself.
"Yes. A little scared, though," you explain.
"Why?"
"I've never actually ridden a roller coaster," you tell Morty.
"Aw geez! I w-wouldn't have sat in the front if I knew!" Morty shouts as the wind blows strongly, throwing your hair and the ends of your dress in the breeze.
"No. It's fine!"
The person monitoring the ride shifts the coaster into "go" and the cart lurches forward.
"Oh, man," you whimper as you head uphill.
"I'm sorry," Morty whispers.
You go stiff as you get closer to the top.
Morty grabs your thigh softly in an attempt to calm you, but only makes you more excited and anxious and scared.
The coaster reaches the top of its peak, and you hold you breath. It slowly comes to a stop at the top, gradually starting up again and falling forward.
The whole way, you hear yourself quietly cursing under your breath, saying, "Oh shit, oh shit, oh shit, oh shit, oh shit!"
The cart quickly goes down the slope, taking your breath. You hold onto the chest restraints, kicking briefly out of fear.
"Oh God! Morty, help!" You scream as the wind blows your hair and dress wildly, grasping onto Morty.
You look at Morty and see that it's all fun for him. He then sees the mixed fear and enthusiasm in your eyes, and he returns the gaze with excitement and concern.
The coaster goes all the way down, turning sharply at the bottom, throwing you every which way, your arms still clutched to your restraints. You incline quickly, curving at the top, doing a loop.
You notice Morty tries to keep his arms up the whole way, but gravity seems to be too strong, keeping his arms at a 45° angle. You feel as though you stop while you're upside-down, your arms dangling in the air.
The cart lurches forward while upside-down, falling back down. As you head up another small slope, Morty gives you a worried glance.
"Y-y-you okay?" Morty asks, holding your hand tightly.
You nod, closing your eyes. You breathe in heavily, whispering, "Yeah, I'm fine."
"O-okay," Morty says quietly as the roller coaster rolls down the sharp slope.
You open your eyes and the strong breeze blows the hair out of your face. Excitement bubbles in your stomach as you slowly loosen your grip on the restraints and Morty's hand.
The cart races around the track and you begin to realize it's not scary, and that the ride is stable. As you go up another slope, you put your hands up. Morty notices you're not scared anymore and relaxes more himself. As you go down, yet another, slope, you throw your hands further into the air, laughing loudly. Morty gives a cheerful "whoo!"

"Oh my gosh! That was fun!" You exclaim as you shake Morty's arm, stepping out onto the soft grass.
