You sit up immediately as you hear the shattering of glass. You cringe as it sounds again. By the sounds of it, it had fallen on the floor.

You look over to your left to find Morty sitting bolt upright as well. You exchange knowing looks as you both throw off the covers and get up.

You shudder as your bare feet meet the freezing, hardwood floor. You cross your arms over your chest in an attempt to conserve body heat. You notice Morty doing the same, quickly shaking his head as he gets a chill. You giggle to yourself and the two of you shuffle out of the room, observing your surroundings, searching for the broken glass.

You hear another silence-splitting crash, the origin of which coming from Rick's room. Morty groans as you approach the door, pushing it open slowly, dramatically.

You smile at Morty who's taking the situation seriously and not noticing he's being dramatic. He pushes open the door, revealing a drunk Rick sitting on the edge of the bed, barely maintaining consciousness. As he finishes each bottle of liquor, he tosses it to the side, causing the loud smashing of glass. You shut your eyes as it sounds, the sound even more painful up close.

You open your eyes to see broken glass scattered across the floor. It's completely silent, with Rick's frequent belch, until Morty sighs again.

"R-Rick! H-how long have y-y-you been up?" Morty's scratchy voice goes as he has just woken up.

"Sh-shut up, Morty. G-gaauuuugghhh-go a-away," Rick mutters, as he sips from a flask.

"R-Rick! Y-you're gonna kill y-yourself doing this crap!" Morty whines, rubbing his eyes and feeling irritated.

"I-I know, Morty. I-if that's the o-only way to g-get away from y-yyyeeeeuuuurrp-you, so be it," Rick jokes in his drunken state.

You see that Morty doesn't understand that he was only kidding and Morty slams the door shut. He stomps away into the room you're staying in, digging through his bag, grabbing a fresh change of clothes. He then stomps into the bathroom and locks it.

You quickly walk into the room, cracking the door. You rummage through your own bag to find a t-shirt and shorts. You swiftly step out of your current shorts and into the new ones. You pull the tank top off over you head, quickly putting on the clean t-shirt as you hear Morty unlock the door. It quickly swings open just in time for Morty to see you pull down your shirt over your stomach.

You face burns a bright pink as you see Morty try not to look at you weirdly. You give a lighthearted grin, which is returned as Morty quickly forgets about being mad with Rick.

You see Morty stare at the ground, resulting in you embarrassedly crossing your arms over your chest. You smile coltishly and exit the room.

You walk into the kitchen and get a bowl of cereal, sitting at the dining table. You look outside at the fountains, which was in between breaks of performances. You watch the people sitting by it, waiting for the next song to come on.

Then the music starts and upon hearing it, you see smiles appear on the crowd's faces. You smile, wishing you could hear the music as it was a quiet song. You frown, looking at the time on the microwave.

11:39A.M.

You groan as you had slept in late, but enjoyed the time you had had with Morty. You smile as you remember the night before. Giggling, you think of how Morty hadn't realized your presence and had taken a whiz while you were taking a shower.

You smirk, taking another spoonful of cereal. You hear footsteps coming behind you. Morty sits beside you, trying to watch you carefully without you noticing. He realizes you notice him watching you and smiles. You return the gesture, finishing your bowl.
