(Y/n)'s P.O.V
I'm awaken by Mark's firm shaking.
"Hey (Y/n), I gotta grab some more stuff. We have an 'Ehh' collection, but we still need some to build that submarine. Karen said it would be needed to go into deeper depths faster." Mark said, slowly, trying to make his words make sense. I open my eyes, rubbing them wearily.
"Who's Karen? Where is she?" I groggily say, looking around the room for this "Karen", slightly hurt that he never told me about his new pal.
"Oooo, it's the voice in my suit and the voice whenever I enter something. I gave her a name!
"Karen like, Karen in Spongebob? Plankton's wife?" I laughed
"Yup!" Mark said, swinging his arm and popping the p.
"Could I go with you? I've been feeling like I haven't done anything and my nausea is clearing up." I asked, putting my hands around his shoulders.
"Hmmmmm, HMMMMMMMMMM. Ok, just get changed into your suit. Just incase something goes wrong, we won't go far from here. There's a couple things I need that are scattered beneath the pod anyways." Mark says, tossing me my suit. I catch it hesitantly, walking toward the ladder to change. After slipping my feet out of the rungs, I turn around to step over to the flooring. Taking off my  clothes, I put on the now dry suit that felt just as skin tight as it did when I first pulled it on. Climbing back down the ladder, I jump to the ground with a thump. A little nausea comes back up, but I push it down with every single ounce of my will power. I am going on this trip. I am going to do something useful and not be a weight dragging down Mark. Walking toward the door, I shudder. The ocean, something so calm yet so terrifying at the same time. Since I've gotten sick, this water that used to amaze me has me shaking like a leaf if I even look at it. If I ever get back home, I am NEVER going to the beach. Like, EVER. Pushing aside every thing in my brain that's screaming at me not to go out, I step out of the house and into the ocean.
(A/n: You sure you wanna do that? Last time that happened you passed out for about 3 days, lmao)
"Ok, so I have the blueprints to make the submarine, but I need the materials. You should be on the look out for creepvine cluster, whatever the fuck those are. Karen said they're on the creepvines, basically those seaweed looking things. You also need to find 4 pieces of quartz. You should be able to find these along the floor, just grab 4 of 'em." Mark explained, pointing to where I needed to get each item. I nodded my head in understanding, starting to swim toward the creepvine. Let me tell you, if you are stuck in an alien ocean, the last thing you want to do is touch a weird foreign plant that looks like it's home to a bunch of creepy crawlies, pun intended. I gave the yellow green ball a careful poke before pulling it off the vine. Since the creepvine ball was under water for a while, there was little bits of algae covering the surface making it slip out from my hands. It started to float up until I grabbed a long string of creepvine hanging off of it, yanked it down, and shoved it into my bag. I repeated the process for another cluster and shoved it into my bag next to the other one. Now for the quartz. I tell myself, looking down at the bottom of the floor. I swim down, shivers going up and down my spine as different creatures wail in the distance. Looking around the sandy floor, I spot something that looks like quartz and swim toward it. I pick it up and put it into my bag. A overhang in the rocks looked promising for quartz, so with all the strength I had, I swam as fast as I could toward the place. Two bits of quartz stuck out of the rock, making me swim toward them and pull them out. I threw them in my bag, ready to look for the last one until I heard Mark scream. I snap my head around to look in the direction of where his screams came from. I can see the house and next to it, a tiny figure and a huge monstrosity. I swim toward it a bit to see Mark looking at a weird crab looking mutant swimming towards him at an alarming rate. A horrible headache comes over me, making me swim toward the ball looking structure I call a shelter. Passing above all the things at the floor, the creature's groans grow louder. Mark, paralyzed in fear, was swimming toward the pod slowly. He opened the door, yanked his things inside, and shut it just as quickly. The creature looked at the bottom of the chain that held the structure together for a while before swimming off. I sprint swim as fast as I can to the house, knocking rapidly on the door. Mark pulls me into the ball and shuts the door once more. He heaves a sigh of relief and sinks into the floor. I take the bag off my shoulder and sling it across the room to him, leaving a wet trail behind it. Taking off my mask, I clutch my head trying to soothe my headache. Mark walks over to my crippled form, picks me up, and sits me in his lap, his arms around my shoulders and his head on top of my right shoulder. I take my head out of my hands and lean it against his shoulder. Suddenly, the capsule starts to shake. I get up, holding the wall to keep my balance as I look out the window. On the bottom of the ocean floor, I see the crab mutant creature, hitting the chain that kept the whole structure on the bottom of the ocean. A loud "snap" was heard as it cut the final cord that kept the pod in place and we rocketed to the top of the ocean, 40 meters upward.
