Chapter 6

2 weeks flew by in the blink of an eye and it was the day for the prom night. The school had announce that there will be no classes during the two days.

"Holy shit, I'm so freaking excited!" Tyler exclaimed.

"Well, I'm nervous," Alex said.

"It'll be all right, I'm sure you'll do great," Issy encouraged, holding up a thumbs up sign.

"I think I'm going to confess today also," Tyler said.

"Well, wish you all good luck then," Johny said.

"I'm just wondering, are you taller or Angelica, Johny? 'Cause its not gonna look good if you're shorter than her," Jax said laughing.

"I'm sure I'm taller," Johny replied frowning.

"What, are all of us confessing tonight?" James asked.

"I am," Dylan said.

"Me, too," Jax said.

"Well, I'm not," Hector said as-a-matter-of-factly.

"What? Why?" Issy asked.

"I don't want to get into relationship now, I still want to be free now, I'm sure Kaede wouldn't let me go out at 3am if we got into a relationship," Hector explained.

"Well, I guess thats true," James said thoughtfully.

The day passed quickly and it was time to go to the prom, the event that attracted every students' interest. Mrs Tang was called one of the wisest principles later by others because she organised this event. The school students doubled the next year when news about the prom was spread out.

Issy had changed clothes and started walking towards Jayde's classroom, where he knew Jayde would be. He was followed by Jax, Johny, James and Blake as their partners were all from Year 8 while the others went to get their own partners from other classes.

Issy looked around the Year 8 classroom, searching for Jayde, his eyes lingering on Clair a little longer than neccessary.

"Well, she looks quite pretty in her dress tonight," Issy thought to himself.

"Wait! Why am I thinking about her?!" Issy scolded himself inside his head.

"Jayde!" Issy called out as he spotted Jayde inside her classroom. But the next moment he froze.

"Hello! What's wrong? Why aren't you talking or moving?" Jayde said as she walked toward Issy gracefully in her jade-coloured dress, which goes all the way down to her feet. Jayde had also changed clothes for the prom.

"Oh sorry! It's just that... You look so beautiful today," Issy said, finally getting back control to his body.

"Thank you," Jayde said softly, blushing.

Issy looked around and saw his friends still engaged in conversations with their partners.

Issy looked back at Jayde.

"Shall we go now, my gorgeous princess?" Issy held out his arm.

"Yes," Jayde said as he held onto Issy's arm, clearly flattered to be called a gorgeous princess.

Issy and Jayde started walking towards the sport complex, where the prom will be held.

"Omg... The sport complex looks so different!" Jayde exclaimed as they reached the sport complex after passing Mr Nathaniel, who was standing guard at the entrace, making sure everyone that went in actually have a partner.
