I nervously paced back and forth, gripping tightly onto the ends of my hair. My mom sat calmly on the couch, watching as I had a mild panic attack.

"Honey, if you could just sit down and let me talk-"

"I don't need you to talk, Mom," I groaned, stopping in my tracks. I ran my hand over my face and let out a cold laugh. "I just don't know what you're expecting from me."

"Honey-"

"Why now? Huh?" I let my hand fall down to my side. "Why do you decide to leave now?"

"It's for the best, sweetheart. There's better opportunities in a new city, a new country!" My mom used her most enthusiastic voice.

I chuckled. "You only want to move to France because of Benjamin, Mother. I know it, I just know it."

"Y/n, you have no reason to be like that," Mom scolded.

I let out a breath. "You're expecting me to find somewhere to live in just two days, Mom. Two!" I held up two fingers towards her. "I don't even know where to start!"

"Well, it's about time you learned. You're nineteen years old, y/n," Mom said, standing up and walking out of the living room.

I stared at the floor, too angry to even move. There were too many emotions flutrering inside me; anger, confusion, but most of all, the feeling of abandonment.

I brought my hands together, fidgeting with my fingers as I began to pace the floor again, much slower this time.

Two days. I had two days to find a place to live before my mom left for France with her stupid boyfriend, Benjamin.

Two days to completely change my comfortable life style and figure out how I would manage on my own.

Two days to completely grow up.
