Your eyes, blue speckled with green shadows open and close to the rhythm of my heart beat.
Light dances within them and your love radiates through the paper walls from a simple glance. But looking into your eyes I also see the oceans that fall and flood our grounds, immersing us in blue. I see the anguishes that you drown yourself in but I grasp your hand sinking into the waves to hold you through the pain.
Your hand, open palmed rests upon my heart and you feel the melodies through my thin layer of skin that lulls you to sleep every night. The stars never seemed to help, so you lay your head across my chest and listen from my breathing. You listen for the reminder that I am always here, for the reminder that you are never alone.
Even your kisses breathe another story. Each soft, delicate...almost fearful. As if your afraid of letting me go. As if your afraid I'll leave.
Love, your past may have been an ocean that suffocated you within and your stars only hold nightmares, but I will always be here grasping onto the light your eyes store. These are only illusions that you hold onto so intently but with my arms wrapped around your torso I speak "I love you" to chase away you demons.
Those shadows that cross your eyes are only a history but while looking into your oceans, I see a future and while it may seem like your world is falling, know that I'll never fall for anyone else but you.
