Ch.2

"Yah what do you think you're doing?" Then he started laughing. I looked at him a little scared and a little confused. "I'm just kidding I'm not mad at you it's ok don't be scared I'm sorry" he put his hand on my shoulder and smiled. "I-it's ok." I looked down shyly. "Anyway I'm Byungjoo, Kim Byungjoo. The neighbor kid." I made an O shape with my mouth and he laughed again. "And you are?" "I'm Mina, Kim mina the neighbor kid." I smiled big and laughed with hm. "We should probably get to school." I followed behind him and he started marching saying, "Hut two three four, hut two three four." So I did the obvious thing and did it with him. This could be a fun day. We got to school after about a ten minute walk of laughing and asking each other our favorite colors and foods. We both skipped into the same classroom and I turned to look at him. "You're in my class?" "Well duh. You just never see me because you never look up from your desk." He smiled and nudged my shoulder as my cheeks went red and I looked down "Sorry" "It's ok silly. Let's go sit down." Byungjoo dragged me over to our table and we sat down. Our teacher started talking to the class and I just sat there with my hands folded on top of the table. I liked school. I liked learning and listening to the teacher read. Sometimes my mind would drift off and I would stare at the ceiling for some period of time and Byungjoo had to snap his fingers in front of my face. Our teacher, Mrs. Lee finished reading and it was now time for lunch. "Cmon kids line up single file" she said. We did as we were told and I stood right I front of The neighbor kid. We maud our way to lunch and got our food and I sat with Byungjoo for the first time In my life. I felt very happy. As we ate lunch he told me I could call him Bjoo instead of saying the whole long Byungjoo. So I said ok and that my same couldn't really get any shorter. He thought for a second, "I'll think of something Mins oh look already got it. You're welcome Mins." I smiled and ate the rest of my food and we put our trays back on the counter by the trash can. We had until the bell rang to play outside and Bjoo and I both ran to the swings. We swang until the bell rang and then went back into Mrs. Lee's classroom for her to teach us some math.
Finally school was over and Bjoo and I made it out to the sidewalk. "Hey Mina what do you call an alligator wearing a vest?" I looked at him tilting my head, " I dunno what?" "An investigator." He busted up laughing and I joined him. We got to my house and Bjoo was gonna turn around and go back home but I asked him if he wanted to stay. "Do you have pop tarts?" "Maybe" I smiled running in the house.
