"The joke is never really over until someone gets hurt." - Me
••••••••••••••••••••••••••

I feel like I'm carrying a heavy burden on my shoulders and I find it difficult to crane my neck. The first thing I notice is that I'm laying on a bed. I open my eyes to be met by the unfamiliar ceiling I've seen for the second time today. I don't feel in pain or anything, I feel okay.

I sit up and notice that I'm only in my shirt and underwear. Luca must of undressed me but I doubt that after he tried choking me to death. I'll never forget how his eyes looked in that moment and the fact that I drove him to his breaking point. I remember hearing someone shout and a loud banging noise in the distance and after that his hands were off of me.

Someone must of stopped him and I'm guessing it's Nikolas.

I look around the dark room and notice that no one's here. I stretch my arm and switch on the lamp next to me. It's empty. Not one trace of Luca luring in the dark corners of the room.

Wait Luca isn't here.

I look up to the familiar clock on the wall and see that it's 20:16pm.

Shit.

I quickly get up and get dressed. After tying my hair up and switching off the lamp light again, I walk towards the door and take a deep breathe before twisting the knob. I open the door and the light from the passage enters the room making me bite my lip in suspense. I peak out through the empty corridor to see any signs of a brown headed man, with cold harsh features, dark grey eyes and a tattoo on his bicep..... nope no sign of him.

As I'm about to slip out I notice a jacket on the medium-sized cupboard near the door. It is cold outside and it could help with covering my face from any unwanted attention. It's a leather jacket first of all and I'm guessing it's Luca's. It takes me a second to contemplate about taking it but then again I am already wearing his shirt. I chuck it on and it surprisingly goes in with my outfit.

It's not as big as I anticipated but it doesn't fit me properly but I'm not complaining. I make my way out the room, closing the door behind me, dressed in all black from head to toe but I kinda like it, black is the one colour that suits me the best, it is the colour of my soul after all.

I walk down the set of stairs that have cracks in between them which they tried to hide with a cheap red carpet. As I walk down the stairs and notice an old woman who's walking up and looks at me weirdly, whether it's because I'm the only person who's mixed race in this whole town or it's because I look like a thug or some drug dealer. She quickly moves her eyes away from me when she see's me staring back at her. Her eyes look down as she slowly makes her way past me, probably thinking of an escape plan.

"Kids these days." I hear her mutter under her breath when we've past but I pretend as if I didn't hear her.

I wonder where Luca is.

Is this a trap or something. Is he testing me, he's probably waiting for me at the bottom of these stairs with a gun in hand, ready to pull the trigger as soon as he sees me with a big grin plastered onto his face.... Well maybe I'm taking it a bit too far, I doubt he can even smile. I recall the cold greeting he gave his brother when Nikolas seemed happy to see him.

I momentarily stop at the possibility of Luca waiting for me with a gun in hand but remember how he pulled me out of the lobby earlier today trying to avoid prying eyes. Thinking about it, Luca isn't really a people's person. From the way he'd always want to sit at the table that's the furtherset from everyone else, how he'd avoid Ford and his friends and would always go outside or wherever he went and how he always seems so distant around me. He doesn't really seem to like people or socialising with them, even his own brother. Now there's something else that I know about him.
