"Where are we even going?" Hamilton asked, walking along beside Eacker.
"Somewhere." Eacker replied.
"That sounds like you're going to bring me somewhere and kill me." Hamilton huffed, almost slipping on the ice that had formed on parts of the sidewalk.
Eacker let Hamilton link arms with his so he wouldn't slip on the ice again. "I'm not gonna murder you. I tried to do that two years ago, and it didn't really work out in my favor."
Hamilton laughed a little.
"Speaking of which, since I forgot the anniversary of the duel, or whatever you like to call that day, I've decided to make it up to you now." Eacker continued.
"Are we going to assassinate the president?" Hamilton asked excitedly. Thomas Jefferson was currently the president, and it was common knowledge that the Hamiltons' hated him.
"The next best thing." Eacker said as they turned the corner, revealing the local theater.
It was currently showing some play that Hamilton wanted to see, where the main character's love interest was another man. Eacker had honestly never had much of a passion for plays and musicals, but he knew Hamilton did, and it was nice to see the younger man's face light up as he pulled Eacker towards the theater.
Eacker paid for their tickets and the pair went to sit down in their seats near the stage.
"Thank you for doing this." Hamilton said, smiling at Eacker. Any resentment he had held earlier was gone.
Eacker smiled back and tried not to cry about how much the tickets had cost. He realized then that he would probably do anything for Hamilton, such as getting horribly expensive tickets for a play.
The lights dimmed and the crowd hushed, leaning forward in their seats as the main character leapt onto the stage, pretending to fight a monster.
The main character killed the "monster", which was really just a guy in a suit, and the young woman of his town swarmed him and smothered him with their thanks. Then another young man walked across the stage, completely uninterested in the main character's heroics, and the main character fell in love. The rest of the play, the main character tries for the young man's heart, and he wins it in the end.
Eacker, despite not liking plays that much, enjoyed himself. Though he enjoyed Hamilton's company even more.
-time skip-
"What did you think of the play?" Eacker asked as the pair walked back to his house.
"I loved the end when the kissed." Hamilton said, and began humming the music that had been playing in the last scene.
Eacker smiled. "I liked the part when he's like 'so, are you amazed by my chivalry?' And then the guy was like 'who the fuck are you?'"
Hamilton giggled.
They arrived at Eacker's house and Hamilton immediately ran upstairs, changed into his pajamas that he kept at Eacker's house, and collapsed on the bed, asleep.
Eacker smiled, changed into pajamas as well, and laid down next to him to read a bit of a book before he went to sleep as well.
The lamplight accented the curves and edges of Hamilton's body nicely, and glowed across his infinite number of freckles.
Eacker reached out and affectionately moved the curls out of Hamilton's face, smiling fondly.
"Oh no." Eacker whispered as he realized why his heart sped up when he touched him, why he bothered to spend money on Hamilton, why he cared so much about the man.
Eacker had a crush.
A crush on Philip Hamilton.
(The play they went to see isn't a real play, as far as I know. I kinda want to write it out and put it on Wattpad or something, but I don't know.)
