It had been almost a week since Eacker had last seen Hamilton.

Of course, it was hard to get a hold of someone if they didn't want to be found, but Eacker had thought Hamilton would've shown up by now.

At least he knew no harm had come to the man. He saw Burr, Lafayette, and Price once or twice during the week, and they had all just smiled in a way that suggested they knew something he didn't whenever he asked about Hamilton.

Finally a letter came.

After stealing it back from Catherine, who always loved to know other people's business, he locked himself in his room and stared at the envelope for a few seconds before carefully ripping it open.

Meet me at the pond in the park, April 14, at 7pm.
- Philip

The letter was shorter than Eacker had wanted it to be, but he smiled when he realized Hamilton signed it with his first name.

April 14th was that very day, and Eacker quickly convinced Burr to look after his younger siblings, before heading down to the local park.

He found Hamilton there, sitting on a blanket near the pond's shore. A lattern sat near him, illuminating his features.

"Hamilton." Eacker said, making him jump.

"You can call me Philip." He said as Eacker sat down next to him on the blanket.

"Ok, Philip." Eacker said, which made Philip blush "What's the reason that we're out here for?"

Philip leaned forward and gently kissed Eacker. "So I can kiss you." He said.

Eacker leaned forward and kissed Philip again, winding his fingers in the smaller man's hair.

Philip giggled and held onto Eacker's shoulders as they continued to kiss.

"I love you." Eacker said when the kissing ended, and they were laying on the blanket watching the sun set.

"I love you too, George." Philip said.

George smiled and pushed Philip's curls out of his face.

Eventually, the sun went down, and the two returned to George's house so Burr wouldn't have to spend the whole night watching George's younger siblings.

Burr smiled at them as she left. Philip had probably told her his plan, and by tomorrow all their friends would know what happened between Philip and George.

George tucked Marie into bed, and said goodnight to Jacob and Catherine before retiring to his own room, where he found Philip asleep in his bed.

George laid down next to Philip and pulled him close.

As he drifted off to sleep, George realized he was truly happy.

(Wow this fanfiction is a mess. I think I'll have one more chapter after this, and then it will be over.
And by the way, I never had any idea where this was going except for the first couple chapters.)
