Chapter 19: As Time Goes By & the Surprise Visit

~1 Year Later~
I finally did it. I passed the bar exam and I'm getting into the Stanford University law school. My parents are proud of me and I can't wait for graduation. I go back to the school in the fall to get my law degree. I'm so happy. It's been a year since the arranged marriage deal was off. I haven't seen Jax or Gemma in that time period. I miss the boys so much. I snapped out of my thoughts when I heard my phone go off. I saw it was my mom and I smiled. I answered it.

"Hello?"

"Hi babe, what's up?" My mom says.

"Just getting ready for graduation. You and dad still coming."

"Oh yea of course, we wouldn't miss is for the world."

"That's great, see you guys soon."

"See you at the ceremony Austin."

"Yea see you guys there. Bye mom."

"Bye love."

I went and quickly got changed. (Pic above^) After doing my hair, grabbing my purse and my cap and gown I finally headed out the door to my college. Once I got there I saw Dorina and I got out and went to her. I give her a hug.

"Ready to do this Dory."

"Well yea the best four years are behind us so it's time to move on an s do what we love."

"Yea that's true."

We put on our cap and gowns and get in line in our proper place. A few hours later we got our diplomas. Law school here I come. I doubt my parents and they gave me a hug.

"Congratulations Austin." My mom says.

"Thanks mom." I say and smiled.

"We planned a party for you sweetheart." Dad says.

"Awe dad." I say and smile.

I say goodbye to Dory promising that I will text her soon. Then I got in my car and headed to my parents house ever my party was at. I left my cap and gown in my car. When I got to my parents house I got out of my car. I walked up to the door and knocked. My mom answered a few moments later and invited me in. We made our way to the backyard where my whole family was. I spotted Carly my sister and her boyfriend Damon. I smiled and went up to her.

"Carly it's so good to see you."

"Aussie." She says and hugs me.

"Damon it's nice to see you again."

"Same for you Austin." He says and shakes my hand.

It's nice to see them after I last visited them last summer in England. I had a great time last summer. We were smiling and chatting. The crowd stopped talking and I see why. I see Gemma, Clay, Jax and the boys walk in. Thomas let go of his dad's hand and ran to me.

"Mommy!" He says and hugs my leg.

I kneel down and hug him. Then I stand up and hold him. I look at the three year old and smile.

"Missed you." He says putting his face in my neck.

"I missed you and Abel."

"What about daddy?"

"I don't know bud." I say softly.

He nods and I go back and talk with my sister and her boyfriend.

"Who is this cutie?" Carly asked.

"I'm Thomas." The three year old said.

I smiled at him. I kisses the top of his head smiling. Then I see Jax walk over to us.

"Thank God. Thomas you weren't supposed to run from daddy."

"Sorry daddy I saw mommy." He says to him.

Jax looks at me and I see sorrow and sadness in his eyes.

"It's good to see you Austin."

"You to Jackson." I say using his full name.

"Can we please talk alone." He says softly.

"Sure."

I put Thomas down and had him go to Gemma. I excuse myself from the party and Jax and I head upstairs to my room. I hope this ends well.
