My Sweet Naive Girl

Chapter 2

She saw herself kissing the guy. It was her first kiss and it was taken away by Casper. Not only that, her lifetime will be spent with him. She slowly opened her eyes. She was so tired that she could barely open her eyes fully. She felt something on her waist. She moved her hands to touch it and it was warm. It's a hand!

Her eyes immediately widened. Right, I just got married yesterday. Casper was back hugging her at that moment. She could hear his faint breathing behind her back. She was still not able to accept the reality that she has become someone else's but she was determined to carry out her role despite everything. She slowly moved his hands away from her as she does not want to wake him up as he could be tired too. Before she gets to lift her body up completely, she was being pulled back down. He hugs her tighter. She was completely in his grasp.

"I'm sorry. Did I wake you? You can sleep further if you're tired. I'm just gonna wash up and get ready." Ariel felt bad.

"Yes, I still want to sleep in more and I want you to accompany me," Casper said with his normal hoarse voice when he wakes up in the morning. His eyes were still shut.

Ariel's heart thumps once, twice. Why is he so different? What is this feeling? I'm feeling weird! Ariel shouted in her heart.

She clears her throat. "I'm sorry but I am not sleepy anymore. I could not sleep back if I'm totally awake. How about you sleep first and I will wake you in 15 minutes time?" Ariel wants to get out of that situation. She felt that her chest could not take the thumping any further.

"No, I will make you stay with me."

Casper turned Ariel's body and at that moment, she was facing him. He pulled her closer and plants a kiss on her. She closes her eyes as she naturally felt his warm lips against hers. Why am I letting myself be devoured by this guy? Why am I feeling this way? She opened her eyes and pushed herself out from Casper's grasp.

"I'm sorry. I'm not ready." Ariel had her head down with her hands pushing Casper's body away.

She quickly got down from the bed and went to get her clothes to wash up. Casper was speechless as he eyes follow Ariel as she leaves the room. He chuckles softly. She is so adorable! I can't help it. He went back to sleep.

She ran as fast as she could and went into the bathroom before locking it. She held her chest as she could hear and feel her heartbeat beating at a tremendous speed. Calm down! She exhales and inhales to calm herself down. What just happened?

The whole family was peacefully having breakfast. The menu for the day was French Toast with maple syrup and served with crisp bacon.

"Ariel, how are you adapting to the family life?" Mr. West began the conversation.

"It has been fine. Thank you." Ariel responded politely.

"There's no need to be so formal with us. You are a part of our family now." Mr. West realized Ariel being formal.

Ariel nodded and smiled. That includes her third time meeting Mr. West; on the engagement and wedding day and that morning. He seems to be a caring father but he does not show it that much.

"How was your first night?" Mrs. West interrupted the peaceful atmosphere.

Ariel choked on her food with the sudden question. Casper, who was sitting beside, passes her a glass of water.

"Thank you." Ariel barely managed to get a voice out. She took a sip and settled herself down.

"Honey, don't scare her. Leave them alone. That should be private. Why would you want to know?" Mr. West calmly stopped his wife as he continues to chew on his bacon.
