"Have you called Ariel to inform her that we are visiting her today?" Simon took the fruit basket as they went out of the shop.

"I didn't. I think she wouldn't mind. Let's go." Laura pulled Simon along with her.

"Do you think she's awake by now?" Laura asked as they got out of the elevator.

Simon glanced over his watch. The time was exactly 10 am. "I guess she would be."

The moment Laura opened the door, she was about to utter some words but was stopped after seeing an unfamiliar back. Laura stopped abruptly in front of the door, causing Simon to bump into her. "Laura? Why did you stop in the middle? Why aren't you going in?"

"Shhh." Laura closed his mouth before she tiptoed in.

Simon became curious. What did she saw? Right after he peeked into the room, the unfamiliar man's back was in sight. Who is that?

Laura turned to Simon before she waved her hand, telling him to follow her. As they tiptoed closer, Laura who was at the front slowly could see Ariel wrapped in the man's arm.

"Ariel!" Being too shocked, her voice escaped her mouth before she clasped it tightly. Simon who was behind her was equally shocked but managed to stay quiet. Realising that the man and Ariel started moving, Simon quickly pulled Laura out of the room as fast and quietly as he could.

After they safely got out of the room, only then Laura opened her mouth. "A-Ariel. S-she's in there too!"

"Did you see the guy's face?"

"I couldn't."

"Don't imagine things. Let's leave them for a while and come back an hour later." Simon was ready to get them away but Laura was faster to resist.

"What if-"

"Shhh. Don't say it. We trust Ariel, don't we? That man could be Casper too since you said you didn't get to see the face. Let's leave here first."

Laura was not totally convinced but she let herself being dragged away by Simon.

By a sound he couldn't comprehend, his eyes opened, blinded by the bright light shining into the room. The moment he turned, the face of the woman he loves was in sight. Her sleeping face was calm but full of life. He couldn't help it but stare.

Maybe feeling that intense stare from him, Ariel slowly showed sign of waking as her eyelids slowly reveal those brown eyes. The moment she opened her eyes, she could see the man that she loves, staring right at her. Naturally, a smile spread across her face. "Good morning." Those words left her before she shut her eyes again.

"Good morning." Casper smiled.

Not long, Ariel still with her eyes closed, moved closer to Casper before she wrapped her arms around his waist and laid her head against his chest. Casper observes her behaviour quietly.

Casper realised that lately she has been showing him much affection willingly and he hasn't been paying attention to it. He runs his fingers in her hair gently as he thought about the time when he first met her.

He was captivated by her attitude of positivity and thought that she was the one he was looking for. But not knowing, she has an adorable and naive side of her as he continued teasing and knowing her.

His emotions began to vary according to her actions. He began looking at her more and doing things that he has never done before just for her. He got to interact more with people around him and experience the different emotions that he thought have dissipated in him. He learnt happiness, sadness, anger, jealousy and love.
