Chapter 5:Waking Up At A Strange Place

I was in a deep forest all alone. All i could hear were the eerie sounds of birds i hadn't heard before. I saw a rainbow arching in the beautiful reddish pink sky. I closed my eyes for a second relishing the feel of the cool air against my body. I let out a sigh of happiness. I opened my eyes again.

I walked ahead in the forest, my feet crunching the dry leaves on the ground as i made my way through the forest. Something about this place seemed familiar to me. I don't know why but i felt as if i had a deep connection with this place. I sighted a clearing ahead. I pushed through the bushes and stepped into the clearing. I gasped in wonder. The place was beautiful. There were thousands of lanterns kept on the grass, creating a beautiful effect. More of them were flying in the air.

Suddenly, my eyes fell on a source of light which appeared bright blue. It gave me a sudden feeling of warmth and happiness. Drawn to it, i slowly walked towards it, curiosity getting the best of me. I finally reached the source. It was a black piano. Its keys glistened in the light of the fading sun. I sat down at the leather covered piano seat kept ahead of the piano. I ran my fingers lightly over the keys relishing the feel of them. Finally, i pressed my finger on C. I gasped as a burst of energy flew through my body quickly. I looked down towards my hands, just to see that they were tingling and lighting up strangely. Cautiously, i played a chord on the piano and was again surprised when the energy passed through my body again. I was going to do this again when i heard a loud growl. I leapt away from the piano yelping in shock.

I searched everywhere trying to detect where the noise came from. Another growl was heard. Just like that i saw a huge monster walking on four legs towards me. It was beautiful but in an evil way. Something about it made me feel wary about it. It glared at me, another growl erupting from its throat. Horrified i took a step behind me. Then another. And another. At the next step my foot didn't touch the ground. Instead it gave into nothingness and i screamed as i was pulled into the dark abyss.

I woke up drenched in sweat, blinking my eyes a bit as the image before me blurred. I was in a strange room. I felt flabbergasted and a whole lot flustered as i took in the the room. I was first shocked and a bit scared. I tried to get up but groaned when pain shooted through my right hand and my head screamed​ in pain. Pain lanced through my body. I tried to speak but my throat was clenched and my voice just wouldn't come out. Also, now my throat started feeling itchy. Someone offered me water and i thankfully took it.

I gulped down the water and immediately i felt relief and my throat didn't feel clenched anymore. I sighed in relief as the weight in my head lightened. I sighed in relief and closed my eyes once again as darkness overcame me again.

I felt as if i was floating in the air. I could see quite a view from up here. I glanced around my surroundings trying to analyze it. I could see a huge mountain with lots of trees and a small river flowing down from it. The river looked beautiful shining as if made of gems. I went closer to the river and gasped at the sight. The river was made of small sparkling diamonds. I gaped in wonder at it. Then i moved my eyes to the natural beauty of the forest in front of me. I simply stared at it. Then i teared my eyes from it only to look back at the river. I floated down towards the river as i went to inspect it. I dropped to the ground on my knees and held my slightly shivering hand above the diamonds. I took one of the small diamonds and felt its cool and hard body. It was real. I quickly dropped the diamond in case someone saw me touching it and would think i was stealing it.

I walked my way up towards the mountain. There i saw a small brook of glistening water. I quickly rushed over there as i was thirsty and the water seemed clean enough to drink. I dropped down to my knees and drank the clear water. Immediately i felt relief. After drinking water to my heart's content i sat on the grassy area near the brook. Just as i was lying down i saw a glistening crystal-like substance near the brook. Cautiously i went near it. I touched the crystal and immediately pulled it back when i heard a high note . I was startled but happy too at the same time. I moved on to the next crystal and touched it. It played a lower note. Delighted with my discovery i ran and touched each of the crystals laughing at the music they made. Just as i was nearing the end of the crystals, i saw a wounded animal sitting there. I had never seen it before. I approached it warily. Suddenly, the animal spoke. It said "Help me. Help me. I am in great pain."
Shocked i stood there paralysed. Again the animal said" Help me. Help me please."
I took a step back.
Now it said "Aura, Aura, Aura wake up. Wake up Aura."

I opened my eyes slowly as i returned from dreamland. I looked at Mom, Dad and my brother as they stood looking very concerned in front of me.

And just like that i was back to real life again.
