*Robert's POV*
That little bitch. She tried to kill herself. All I wanted to do was get her to see how much I loved her, how much I needed her. She made me a better man. She made me want to be better. How could she nearly kill herself? How could she have done this? This wasn't what I wanted. I just wanted her all to me, like we had arranged.
I sighed, leaning against the headboard of the shitty bed I was sitting on in the crappiest hotel there was. I was in Maine. It was the furthest away I could get without blowing $500 on gas. I was going to apply for a job tomorrow. Just to get some cash. The diner below me was bustling. It was nine at night. It should be closing soon. My phone went off and I picked it up. It was a burn phone. I had someone inside the company helping me.
"Bently," I answered.
"Rob, she's with Justin now. She was able to leave the hospital the other day. She was pretty banged up," they said. They drifted off. I sighed.
"It wasn't supposed to happen like that."
"Whatever Rob. You wanted the update." They hung up.
"Fuck you too," I growled, throwing it across the room. It hit the wall and shattered. Fucking great. Now I'm going to have to get another one.
She'll be worth it when I get her back though. She'll be so worth it.
