❤One Shot - Things Are Not Always As They Seem(Kyoya)❤
Simple. Graceful. Quiet. Helpful. Mysterious.
All things that people found alluring about you.
French. Small. Delicate. Black hair. Silver eyes.
All things that made you unique.
Cute. Shy. Gentle-natured. Kind-hearted. Patient.
All things that people thought about you.
Dull. Fake. Uninteresting.
All things he thought about you.
You never breathed a negative word. You never disobeyed even the slightest. You followed orders completely and to the extents of your abilities. You were just too perfect.
Aadi Haninozuka. There was just something suspicious in that name, something he was determined to uncover. Being Haruhi's adopted sister, he'd often see you walking her to the school gates, serenely seeing her off with that ghost of a smile on your lips that earned you the nickname 'Mona Lisa.'
He never expected you'd transfer to be closer to your eccentric sister. Hell, he never expected another commoner like you would even gain access to the elegant academy.
What surprised him further was the fact that the first time he saw you within the school gates, you were sitting pleasantly beside him in class, staring at the board as the teacher droned about this math equation and that two pi times the radius of a circle equals the circumference formula.
"Aadi!"
"Good morning, Aadi."
"What are you doing after school today, Aadi?"
"I missed yesterday's English class because of my appointment with Tamaki. Could I copy your notes?"
Aadi, Aadi, Aadi.
Nodding, you glowed with that notorious soft smile and did your best to meet everyone's needs, your cool, collected expression never wavering. You radiated such confidence and poise that no one cared how little you spoke, or how subtly the murmurs emitted when you did.
"Aadi!"
That call was different. You recognized that voice. You'd grown to love that voice.
"Haruhi," you murmured wistfully, "good morning."
"Morning! Listen, I have to go to...work today, and I need you to come with me because I have some things to give you, but they're at work." Of course by 'work,' you knew she meant that silly façade she displayed as a host. "Would you mind staying a bit after school?"
"Of course not."
Kyoya couldn't help but catch the conversation as he passed by, the bell finally signaling the end of class and beginning of his host activities. Well wasn't this an interesting development?
* * *
His onyx orbs swept the room for those desired grey ones, coming up empty. Sighing, he turned to face his companions who were busying themselves with clients.
"Hey," he grunted impatiently, "I forgot something in the classroom. I'm going to go back and get it."
He was met with uncaring silence as they continued their flirtatious ways. Rolling his eyes, he slipped out the door, unnoticed.
