Vocaloid 101

Welcome back to this lovely magazine everyone. This week, I will be discussing the song Outer Science, sung by Hatsune Miku, and a part of the Kagerou Project.

First of all, I would like to thank everyone for taking part in the survey I made last week. The winner is...

"It was really cool that you did Witch Hunt first! That song is one of my favorites! But I don't think Miku was a witch... more like playing the part of a priestess or some religious person, though it may look like she's a witch when she's in that one room surrounded by candles, but that just looks like she's praying. In times like that, Christians would think witches were unholy and would point them out, helping sentencing them to their deaths. All witches were evil in their eyes. If Miku was a witch herself and jealous of Luka, she would of just used her magic to get rid of her. I believe Miku was worried about the safety of the prince, thinking he was being forced to love by magic so Luka could marry him and eventually enslave the town.

Well that's how I see it anyway... I could be wrong."

Thank you again everyone for your opinions, they were all amazing.

Anyways, onto the song. In my opinion, Outer Science is the story of a girl and a player. (Apologies for not knowing the names, someone enlighten me!) For example, the player talks about how easy it was to lure the main character into his trap. He talks of how he is really a monster inside, and how he will make her a monster too. Then he tells the poor girl of how it is useless to resist him anymore, he will always win.

In the end, the main female is just on the ground crying, regretting her mistake of trusting the player. For him, it's all in a day's work. This song is also sad, but there are multiple awe inspiring videos for it. I highly suggest listening/reading the Kagerou Project. It is an incredible series of songs, books, manga, and it will become an anime soon, if not already!

I am always open to taking suggestions for vocaloid reviews, and even getting opinions on songs for currents articles.

Hope you enjoy the rest of the magazine!
