•Josh’s POV•
I can’t believe what is happening before my eyes right now. Why are they kissing? Jen is the first to pull away and her and Sam go into hysterical laughter.
“Did I miss something?” I ask holding the tears back.
“Josh, we’re just bull shitting you. We would’t do that!” Jen says standing up and sitting next to me.
“Looked pretty real to me,” I say to her with all honesty. I can’t believe they would do that to me. I feel a rage of anger flow through my veins, but I just breathe to calm myself down.
“I’m sorry, we were just joking around.” Jen says rubbing my back.
“It’s fine, now why don’t we watch a movie?” I ask them and they nod in agreement. We choose to watch Pitch Perfect because it’s hilarious. I turn off the lights as the three of us relax and watch the movie.
I wake up from a bright light coming outside of my trailer. I stand up and walk over to the door and locking it to make sure no one’s coming inside. I wake Sam and Jen up.
“What the heck is that?” Jen mumbles while rubbing her eyes.
“It looks like the head lights of a car.” Sam replies. We all step back and duck down to hide and make sure it looks like no one is in here. I call Francis to let him know but there is no answer.
“Shit, what do we do? I feel like if I step outside I’ll be shot instantly.”
“Call the police.” Sam says taking my phone out of my hand into his. He dials 911 and they pick up immediately.
“Hello ma’am. My name is Sam and I’m here with my two friends in a trailer and their is a suspicious vehicle outside.” Sam says to the lady on the phone staying very calm.
“Mhmm. Okay. Thanks you so much.” He says and hangs up the phone.
“So what’s going on?” I ask.
“They’re tracking your phone to our location and police is on their way.”
“Thank god.” I huff out with a breath.
“The lady said do not panic or make yourself noticeable, so if there is someone trying to hurt us they wont think we are here. I begin to hyperventilate. The thought of someone trying to kill me is excruciating.
We stay low to the floor, silent for a few minutes until we hear the sirens in the distance.
“I’m so scared.” Jen says trying not to breath to heavily.
“It’s okay. The police are almost here.” I say trying to comfort her. To be honest I’m terrified right now but I’ll do whatever it takes for Jen to like me.
We see the flashing red and blue lights and decide its okay to stand. We hear a knock on the door.
“Who is it?”
“Francis,” the person behind the door says, sounding exactly like Francis so I open up and find him standing on my trailer steps.
“Why’d you call the police?” he asks me with his eyes half open.
“Their was a suspicious vehicle outside.” I say gesturing toward the car.
“Josh, that was my mom’s car. She was just leaving and must have fell asleep in the front seat with her lights on.”
“Oh, sorry! I say to him,”
“It’s fine, I’m going back to bed now,” he says shaking my hand and going back to his trailer.
When I close the door and look back to Jen and Sam, we burst into hysteric laughter.
“I didn’t even know Francis’ mom was still alive,” I say with tears streaming down my face.
“Oh my gosh, that was the highlight of my year,” Jen says rubbing underneath her eyes to wipe the tears.
I soon begin to feel tired again and fall asleep with Jen and Sam on the futon. That was the best thing that happened here in a long time, and I’m so happy I got to share the moment with my best friends.
