Thankful For You (Lyon x Reader)(Request)

Before reading: So the reader insert's point of view will be a transgender male, so the pronouns for the reader will be he/him. The FT characters will use she/her pronouns until the reader comes out.

Also there's some cussing and sorry if Lyon's ooc (out of character). 

To say (Name) was nervous was an understatement. He is absolutely terrified. Now what made him so scared in the first place? Well, he finally came to the conclusion that he's a transgender male and decided to come out. He knows his friends, especially his best friend Lyon, would accept him. There was no doubt about that.

 The part which scares him is how a certain person would react. That certain person happens to be his boyfriend, Phillip. While (Name) loves his boyfriend more than anything, Phillip's huge flaw is being judgemental. Phillip would usually make rude comments about whatever or whoever without even knowing the full details of things. So when Phillip finds out his 'girlfriend' is suppose to be called his boyfriend, he will say something about it. (Name) isn't sure if he's prepared for that highly possible scenario.

But if he doesn't tell Phillip about his gender indentity he knows he will break. He's been holding onto the secret about him being transgender for the longest time to the point where it's hurting him. Continuing to keep live a lie as a female is something he can no longer stand. He isn't going to avoid this any longer. He is going to come out to Phillip no matter how the scene plays out.

Before he tells Phillip the news, (Name) makes the decision to change his appearance. He hates the femimine look he had to deal with for the longest time, so he goes on a shopping spree for male attire. After shopping for clothes he loves, he gets his hair cut to the right amount he likes it at. So after getting his hair cut and putting on some of his new attire, (Name) is ready to come out to Phillip. The new look gives him a lift of confidance since he finally gets to express and share with others who he is even though his nerves on are edge.

Leaving his apartment, (Name) makes his way over to Phillip's place. The walk to his boyfriend's apartment is reasonable walking distance so it didn't take long to arrive there. Exhaling in a nervous way, he knocked on the door and waited for an answer. When he heard the distant footsteps belonging to the owner of the apartment approaching, (Name)'s heart began to race widely in his chest. Any moment Phillip will open the door to see the new and true version of (Name) and make a snap judgement right of the bat. Hopefully there's enough time for (Name) to explain before that happens.

When the front door opens, (Name) is greeted with the sight of Phillip, who looked to be having a lazy day from work. The tall male is  shirtless, showing off his fit and muscular body that has a grey Lamia Scale , the guild he and (Name) are apart of, guild mark on his left shoulder. He is wearing baggy, red gym shorts and no socks or shoes. His short black hair is all over the place as if he just woke up from a nap. (Name) wouldn't be suprised if Phillip did since he's rubbing his tired looking grey eyes before focusing on who is in front of him.

After a huge, tired yawn escaped from him, Phillip's grey eyes adjusted to take a look at the person who knocked his front door. He had to doubt take to see if the person in front of him is (Name).  A confused expression formed on his face which didn't really help (Name)'s anxiety levels.

"(Name), is that you?" Phillip asked in a confused way.

"Yeah, it's me, Phillip." (Name) answered.

"Oh! Now I see it's you!" Phillip said, looking rather releieved. "I thought my girlfriend was a dude for a minute there." He chuckled.

(Name) internally cringed when Phillip  refered to him as his 'girlfriend.' Gosh, he just wants to blurt out the fact he indentifies as a male. He wants to push the pressure of his chest already, but he doesn't say anything yet. He will have to ease the fact he's transgender into conversation when the timing is right. At the wrong timing the news would feel like an ambush to Phillip which is something that needs to be avoided.
