The suns out today, so the Cullen's won't be in school. Jasper wants me to come over after school, he has something to give me. So, I accepted the offer. I put on some cute black pants, a navy blue blouse (tank top , lace), and some flags.

After straight ironing my hair, I climb down my ladder. I close the door and I skip down the stairs. Bella compliments my top before we leave the house. The warmth of the sun hits us, I almost forgot how that feels.

I get into my car, and I am actually able to roll the window down. I pull out of the driveway, and I drive to the school. I park between Tyler's van and Bella's truck, then I get out.

"Ruby!" Eric calls out. "You join us, at last!"

Angela hugs me. "Glad you came around."

History comes up pretty quick; it is lonely and boring without Jasper right beside me. Jessica Stanley sits behind me in this class. She has made it clear that I'm lucky Jasper notices me, because he rejected her.

I rush out of the school when the final bell rings. Bella is going to Port Angeles with Jessica and Angela for something. I get into my car and I drive to the Cullen's.

Edward opens the door before I could ring the doorbell. I greet him generously before I am lead to the second floor living room. Jasper takes my hand and pulls me into his back, and flies out the back window.

Jasper hands me a jewelry box when we land on a steady branch. "This is for you."

I open the box and yet is a bracelet. It has leather, with a feather on it. It is beautiful; Jasper helps me put it on.

"I love this calm feeling radiating off you, Ruby." Jasper whispers, pushing strands of hair behind my ear. "I prefer it better that fear."

Jasper leans against the trunk of the tree, and pulls me into his hold. I lay my head on his silent, stone chest and he rubs down my brown hair.

"Lets head back." Jasper mumbles. "Carlisle has returned. Esme made you some food."

Jasper tosses me on my back and flies back inside the house. Carlisle greets me as Esme hands me a plate with chicken fingers. I sit at the counter and I eat the food as Jasper speaks to his family in private.

"Molina set a trip for tomorrow." I say when the Cullen's in my high school father. "To a greenhouse."

"Molina and his love for nature." Alice laughs. "I'm looking forward to it."

"Do you know the weather for tomorrow?" Jasper asks.

"Warm, but cloudy." I reply. "Y'all are safe."

"Good." Edward speaks up. "See you then?"

I nod my head, and Jasper walks me outside. Jasper kisses my hand and opens my car door for me. I slide into my car and I drive away from the nice house.

I park at the local diner, where dad and Bella are. They appear surprised to see me when I walk in. School let out half an hour ago.

"Hey guys." I greet as I sit down.

"What would you like to drink?" The waitress asks after handing dad and Bella food.

"Coke." I reply. "Bacon cheeseburger to eat, please."

The lady scribbles that down and rushes towards the kitchen. She hands me my Coke and goes to check on my food. I talk to Bella about the Cullen's as I I sip on my soda. I keep my mouth closed about their secret, just about their wealth and health.

"Here ya go, ma'am." The waitress says before handing me my food.

"Put it on my bill." Dad says.

Margret, the waitress, nods and walks away. I take the first bite of my burger and I moan in pleasure. This burger tastes amazing, and I'm glad I stopped by.

"I'm glad I stoped by." I say allowed. "This burger tastes amazing."

"I come here once a week." Dad says. "Every Thursday. It because one of my weekly routines."

"I don't blame ya, dad." I smile. "It's great."

I look out the window and see Mike Newton shaking his butt in the window, his face in the bushes.

"Bella, I think your friends want your attention." I mutter.

Bella looks at where my attention is, and she shakes her head with humor.

"You can join them if you like." Dad says with a humorous look in his eyes.

Bella shakes her head quickly. "No, I'm fine."

Dad chuckles and we finish eating.

Bella and I go outside while dad pays. I sit in my car and wait until dad comes outside. I start my car up, and I carefully drive home. I walk inside and I plop down on a kitchen char, and I work on my homework.

"Hey, Ruby." Bella greets as she sits down at the table with a glass of milk.

"Hey, Bella." I reply as I finish up the last of my homework. "I am going up. I'm tired."

I kiss my sisters head before I climb the stairs, then I climb my ladder. I close the door and cover it with my white rug. I yawn real big before taking off my day clothes. I look at the window behind my dresser and I see Jasper. I smile and I open the window.

"Nobody comes up when I do." I say. "I get privacy, sleeping in the attic."

"I'm staying here tonight, my beautiful angel." Jasper whispers. "Will you be my girlfriend?"

I nod. "Of course I will."

Jasper kisses my forehead and he notices I'm not wearing any clothes. "Put on some pajamas, please Ruby."

I smile before putting on some snowflake pajama pants and a baby blue tank top. Jasper has relief over his face and I just laugh. I get underneath my blanket, and I scoot close to the wall. Jasper lays over the covers, near the edge.

I lay against Jasper, and I fall asleep to the silence in his chest.
