A few months later

The phone in my room rings as soon as the sun is at its highest, noon. I sigh and I pick it up off the receiver.

"Hello?"

"Ruby, its Marcus." The rough, soft voice says. "Get dressed, and come to the throne room, Aro's orders."

"Yes, sir." I hang the phone up.

I get dressed in class, then I find my way to the throne room. I see Edward, Alice, and Bella standing in front of Cauis, Marcus, and Aro.

"Ruby, you look well." Aro smiles. "I am sending you home to Forks."

I frown. "I will miss it here."

"We will miss you, and your attitude." Cauis says with a smile. "We will meet again."

I curtsy. "I'll go pack."

"Can I join her?" Alice asks.

Aro smiles genuinely. "Of course, Alice."

"How is it here?" Alice asks when we make it to my room here.

"To be totally honest, I love it." I reply with a smile. "I was on a solid human blood diet, but I can put animal blood back in now."

"Aro wants me here bad, because of my ability." Alice smiles. "You seem to love it."

"Aro, Marcus, and Cauis make sure you are well taken care of, and I love that about them." I smile. "But they insist you on a human blood only diet here."

"Well, we are going home." Alice chirps. "Jasper has missed you horrendously."

"Jasper's amazing." I whisper. "I've missed him too."

Once I am packed, Alice and I meet Edward and Bella at the car she stole in Florence. She drives us to the airport, and we all board the plane. I am seated with Alice, because she doesn't want to let me out of her sight again.

Jasper pulls me into a tight hug when we arrive home. "Was the Volturi mean?"

"No, they are amazing." I reply. "Aro is my adopted father. I am Ruby Volturi now."

Carlisle smiles. "That just means he won't harm you, no matter the cost. So, we will leave it like that."

"That fine with me too." Esme smiles. "You're room here is still the same."

Alice helps me bring my clothes from Italy to my room and unpack them. I sit on my couch and I listen to the conversation. They are all kinda angry with me because I went to Aro, but Carlisle. He is actually glad I did, he knows I had protection all the way around. The royal vampires, and the Olympic coven are my protectors now. Jasper is just glad I'm okay, and that they were nice to me instead of mean.

I walk downstairs. "Next time you want to speak about me, make sure I can't hear you. I'm gonna go feed off some animals, I hate having red eyes."

I flash outside before anyone could stood me. Emmett joins me outside, and we hunt down a few bear, herded together protecting a cub. Emmett and I feed off the adult. I frown at the lonely cub before flashing back to the house.

"You're eyes are back to brown."

"Good." I remark. "Senior year. Tomorrow. No excuses, Cullen's."

I climb the stairs in human speed, and I go into my bedroom. I sit at my desk and I click on my email. I email Jane, telling her I made it home safe. Jane and I had gotten real close. Alec found his mate, Ginger Sinister. She was at one of the festivals, and they fell madly and deeply in love.

After sending the email and logging off, I step out of my room and flash outside. I fly into the tree I was shoved off of, and I sit on the branch I was on. I smile as the wind blows my hair, and I stay here all night.
