I decide to wear some red today. I put on the bracelet I put on some red sandals and brush the tangles out of my naturally curly hair. I go down to the living room and dad greets me.
"I love the fact you dress with class." Dad speaks.
"And not boyish like me." Bella adds. "I like the fact you dress nice."
I go outside, ignoring the two of their compliments. I get into my car, and I start up the soft purr of the engine. I pull out of the driveway and I drive towards the school. I park beside Jasper's truck.
"Boyfriend." I coo.
Jasper smirks. "Girlfriend."
Alice gasps. "Finally!"
Rosalie hugs me before Alice could smother me. I laugh as Rosalie pulls away. Jasper takes my hand and we go out back, where Molina is with the busses for the trip to the greenhouse.
"Ride with us." Jasper says when Edward denies Bella to ride. "You're my girlfriend, so why not?"
"Lets go." I coo.
Jasper takes my hand and we get into the bus. He takes it a history novel.
"What year is the plot of the book?" I ask.
"1936." Jasper replies. "I used to be an army general. Jasper Whitlock."
"I read about you." I say honestly. "That's great."

Edward asks Bella to the junior fling, but she declines. She made an excuse of going to Jacksonville to visit mom and Phil.
"Do you wanna go to the dance with me?"
I nod my head. "I'd love to."
Jasper takes my hand and we walk inside the greenhouse. I see Edward walking with Bella. Jasper says they are working things out. I'm glad Edward is coming around.
--- a few hours later. Bella knows about vampires now.
"Hey, the family and I have a baseball going on tomorrow." Rosalie says as we pull up to their house. "Edward is inviting Bella."
"We're inviting you, Ruby." Jasper says.
"I would love to." I coo. "I like the outdoors, other than Bella."
Rosalie smirks. "Good."
We walk inside and Jasper takes my hand, and he walks me upstairs. Esme hugs me in greeting. Edward also bringing Bella to meet her and Carlisle. She's cooking Italian for Bella.
"Take her out to the trees, or something." Rosalie says. "I may say some things to Bella that might offend Ruby."
I climb on Jasper's back when he asks, and he literally flies out of the window. He lands on a tree in the middle of the Forrest. He lets me stand on the branch and wraps an arm around me.
"It's so beautiful up here, Jasper." I whisper. "I love being in the trees."
Jasper kisses my cheek. "I love it out here."
I side down, and lean back against the trunk of the tree. "It's peaceful. A person could clear their mind out here."
"I love this calmness from your body." Jasper smiles. "Sit here. I'm gonna go meet Bella. I'll come back for you."
Jasper's POV
Taking account that Ruby liked thee trees, I leave her to sit. I walk into the house, through the kitchen window.
"Where's Ruby?" Rosalie asks.
"The largest tree." I reply with a smile. "She loves it out there."
Bella has a cold look. "You left my sister in a tree?!"
I smirk. "She doesn't mind, she likes the outdoors, and the peacefulness of the height she's at."
Ruby's POV
I lay my ear back against the trunk of the tree, and I feel the branch move. I open my eyes and see a red haired, and red eyes vampire.
"Goodbye, human."
The Vampire shoves me and I fly through the trees, towards the ground. I scream really loud, hoping my Cullen's would hear me.
Rosalie's POV
Ruby's scream fills the room as Bella leaves. Jasper growls before flashing out of the room. Carlisle and I run out, and we find Jasper staring down at something on the ground.
I step beside Jasper, and I notice he's looking at a dead Ruby. I gasp and I fall back, sitting in a fallen, dead tree.
"What is it?" Carlisle asks when he finally catches up.
I frown and I point towards Jasper. Carlisle furrows his eyebrows before he walks over. Carlisle picks her up.
"Lets go." Carlisle says softly. "I'll change her. How'd she fall out of the tree?"
"I smell another vampire." Jasper replies. "A human feeder."
I growl before we flash home.
Jasper's POV
When I saw Ruby's body, not breathing and no blood flowing, I felt parts of me die inside. I smell a vampire around the woods as Carlisle picks her up.
I flash to the house, behind Carlisle and Rosalie. Alice and Emmett approach us, surprised at the sad news. Edward is secretly following Isabella home, so he knows she is safe.
"I'll call Edward while you change her." I say.
Edward's POV
My phone rings right as I see Bella make it inside. I check the caller ID; and I take notice that it's Jasper. I furrow my eyebrows and I click the reply button.
"Hello, Jasper." I say into the speaker.
"Get home now." Jasper says. "Ruby's dead. Carlisle's changing her."
I stomp on my break, and my car halts to a stop at the local diner. "How'd she die?"
"I think a vampire pushed her off that tree." Jasper mumbles. "I smelled human feeder."
I let out a sigh. "I'll be right there, Jasper. I'm on my way right now."
"Okay. Tell Bella." Jasper says before hanging up.
Jasper's POV
We are still playing baseball tomorrow. I know Ruby would want us to carry on as if she weren't gonna awaken as a vampire.
I take a seat in the chair beside her, Carlisle has done bit her a few knees and injected her with his venom. Edward is supposedly telling Bella, and heading here.
Alice places her hand in my shoulder as Dean goes to sit on the second floor. Rosalie is sitting on the edge of the bed, staring at Ruby.
"I hope Bella isn't a problem on the field tomorrow." Rosalie says. "Ruby shouldn't be alone when she awakens."
Carlisle sighs. "You're right. But we never know if those human feeders left the land yet or not."
Alice sits on the arm on the chair i am in, and we all watch Ruby lay there. Just lay there.
