Only One; Why Don't We

Chapter 2

*morning*

I slowly woke up, as I do most mornings. Things get quiet in my little apartment, no roommates, no animals. I got out of bed in my over sized t-shirt that I bought from Target. My messy bun flopped from one side to the other as I walked to my coffee machine. I put bread into my toaster as I waited for my coffee to finish brewing. I turned on an old school radio that looked vintage and brought a homey feel to my kitchen. They announced a new group of boys, and played one of their songs Something Different. It was a good song and put me in a good mood. I grabbed my half eaten toast, my coffee, and hopped right back into bed. I grabbed my phone and checked my messages.
*new texts*
Erin: Any plans for today? I need someone to help me get over this hang over.😛
Jack: Sorry I fell asleep with so early, how's 2 o'clock?
Logan: Hey little cousin Wanna come vlog with me in two days?

*checks time*

It's 11:30, if I wanted to make it to Jacks in time I had to get ready now. I finished my breakfast, and began texting everyone back.

*To Erin:*
Me: Hey, sorry but I think I'm going to Jacks later, I'll drop off some aspirin and ice cream later.
Erin: oooh have fun with lover boy, I'll just be here dying! Love you.
Me: love you too.
*To Logan:*
Me: That sounds great, what time should I head over?
Logan Paul: How's 10? The Logang needs to be up early!
Me: Sure😂 sounds like fun.
*To Jack:*
Me: 2 o'clock sounds great, want me to bring anything?
Jack: Just your beautiful self.
Me: I think I can do that.

The messages between me and him gave me butterflies. I jumped into the shower. I got out and began picking my outfit. I grabbed a flowy white band tank top that crossed in the front multiple times. I also put on a washed out pair of high waisted jean shorts, and bright white Adidas shoes with gold detailing. I dried my hair and twisted back two front sections of my dark brown hair into a crown like headband, and let the rest of my shorter hair fall onto my shoulders, it fell into small curls. I did a very natural smokey eye and matched a nude lipstick. I called an uber to take me to Jacks.
*20 minuets later*
I pulled up to the house, feeling super nervous. I'm not even sure why I was so shook. I knocked at the door, waited a second, and watched as the door knob twisted. It wasn't Jack, it was a blonde. He smiled at me and invited me in. He introduced himself and led me to the living room. Corbyn made me feel really welcome. He told me that Jack was talking about me all day and that he was in their room getting ready. Corbyn was sweet and funny. He showed me pictures of him and his girlfriend Christina while I waited for Jack. They were so cute together, and the way he talked about her made me want to have what he has. Jack finally came out of his room and gave me a hug. It wasn't awkward at all, in fact it felt natural to be in his arms. Daniel came into the room and sat down in the video game love seat that was in front of the actual couch. Him and Corbyn played 2k while Jack and I cuddled on the couch and talked. I could tell Jack wanted to play, and I have had practice playing video games thanks to my cousins Logan and Jake. I asked him if we could play. His eyes lit up like it was Christmas. He playfully pushed Daniel off of the seat.
"My lady" he said as he bowed pointing to the seat. I giggled and sat down. Corbyn then got up and sat by Daniel on the big couch. We spent the next hour playing and joking around. I remembered that he told me about his band. He told me they're five members, and that the other two, Jonah and Zach, were visiting family for the next two days. The name Zach had felt like an unpleasant reminder to the guy from a couple days ago. I didn't want to think about him, I wanted to focus on Jack. I asked him to sing for me. Corbyn and Daniel joined in as they began singing the song I had heard on the radio this morning. I freaked out.

"Wait I heard this song on the radio this morning! Jack you didn't tell me how successful you were!"

"I didn't tell you because I didn't want you to only like me because of it."

"Trust me, if I didn't like you for you, and your cute noodle hair, I wouldn't be here right now."

He went behind me and grabbed me by the waist, and continued to sing. We decided to go out to the grove for dinner. Afterwards Jack, Daniel, Corbyn, and I went to the Hollywood sign and watched the sunset.  We asked some strangers to take some pictures of us. I got on Jacks shoulders and threw out my tongue, while Daniel and Corbyn did the same on the sides of us. The pictures turned out so cute, but I felt bad for the people taking them because we took forever! We went back to the boys house and watched a movie. I snuggled up to Jack and felt his heartbeat. Erin picked me up from their house after the movie. We stopped at Panera and grabbed some food, then went back to my place.
*incoming text from Noodle head❤️* Jack: I had fun tonight, and I hope we can do it again.
Me: I had fun too, I will definitely do it again.
Jack: Great😌 goodnight gorgeous
Me: goodnight Noodle head😌
Jack: no ❤️? Like in my name?
Me: Gn Noodle head❤️
Jack: Gn cutie❤️
Me and Erin talked about Jack. It all seemed so fake, like it was just an illusion. My life had gotten so much better since I met him.
