Chapter 13

Mack's pov

Zach brought me home to get ready for our date. He left to get ready after dropping me off. We were starting the night off early, he was coming back to get me at 5:30.

*looks at phone*

Shit it's 4:13 I need to start getting ready.

I jumped in the shower to shave my legs and wash up.

I got out and dried my hair I put in some fresh curls and sprayed my hair with a salt-water mixture, and left it like that.

I put on a sliming black bodycon dress, and a pair of black high heels.

I did a soft pastel smokey eye, with a bolder brown lip.

I was finally ready, and I'm Erin's opinion I looked amazing.

Bby Z: hey baby girl, you ready?
Me: only if you are.
Bby Z: come downs stairs, the first surprise awaits.

I walked down stairs to see a limo in front of the complex. A man stood outside with a sign.

'Mackenzie Lynn'

"That's me." I said as he opened the door.

I was expecting to find Zach inside, but in his place there was a note.

'I'm sorry I'm not here, but I wanted to surprise you. Remember that prank that you and Jonah were going to play? Tell the driver to take you there.'

"Can you take me to the West side Target?"

He nodded and began driving.

We got there and I jumped out of the limo and ran inside.

The cashier recognized me and handed me a slip of paper.

'Great you found step 2, but where am I? Go to the place, where I apologized, I know it's a walk but you'll survive.'

I smiled, thanked the cashier, and ran back to the limo.

He brought me to the hiking trail.

"There." He said as he pointed to the four wheeler with a helmet sitting on top.

I jumped on it and road to the middle of the trail where he has apologized. I spent 10 mins walking around the area in heels trying to find a note.

It was hidden in a bush.
'Great you found step 2, now go to the place where I was first jealous.'

This one was easy, on top of the hill.

I got back on the four wheeler and road to the top of the hill. And went to the rock where me and Jack sat. I then followed the edge until I found Zach's spot. Another note.

'If I timed this right, you should be starring at the sunset, and if I'm correct it's not as beautiful as you are'

That was so cheesy. I smiled at the note, while I looked up and stared at the sunset. I continued reading.

'Now that you've enjoyed the sunset, let's take it back to the night we met.'

The club. Too easy. I road back down to the limo and hopped in. He began bringing me to the club where me met.

I got there and headed to the roof. I opened the door, and saw the lights twinkle. I went to the edge and saw a jacket sitting there on the edge with a note in the pocket.
At this point I was pretty cold so I put on Zach's jacket and read the note.

'You made it, sorry I made this, but I needed to by more time. Come to the place where I was there for you at your darkest time.'
