Chapter 13

"Go get em Bulk. Bring the hurt." Miko called.

I was sitting between Jack and Raf while Miko was drawing on the recliner. The bots were going to something to do with Megatron and dark Energon. It doesn't sound fun. But I was more focused on Miko, she should be begging to go along by now.

"That's not like Miko to not wanna go." Jack said.

"She's definitely up to something." Raf and I said at the same time. And I'm not gonna miss it. Miko and I have become like sisters now, we got into trouble a lot. I watched Miko as the bots transformed and rolled through the bridge. She dashed down the stairs and through the ground bridge before any of us could stop her.

"Makin a break." Jack said as he went after her. I jumped onto the stair railing and slid down quickly. I wasn't far behind Miko now, but she was still going fast. I pumped my legs and jumped in front of her as Jack caught up and took her arm.

"Not safe." He said.

"I am not going to miss my first Zombie Con show down!" She said. With that, she shook free of Jack and pushed me aside and ran further into the bridge.

"Miko!" Jack called. I stayed silent, knowing it wouldn't do any good to try and sway her.

I dashed after her, as did Jack and Raf. We got out just a couple hundred yards behind the bots. Miko ran up a pile of rocks and I ran beside her. There was no point in stopping her now. We crouched at the top and seen a skinny feminine looking bot.

"That's not Megatron. " Bulkhead said.

"Let's see some fight of the living dead already!" Miko said, excited.

Raf and Jack caught up and crouched down beside us. "Miko, what were you thinking?" Jack hissed.

"She wasn't." Raf said.

"Hey, I missed out last time, this could be my only chance to take some snaps." Miko said, reaching for her pocket. "My cell phone. I must of dropped it back at base." She said. I took no more time in pulling out my phone and recording. Miko didn't notice of course, she was pissed and blaming Jack.

"I can't believe you made me lose my phone!" She yelled at him.

"How is this my fault?" Jack asked.

"You four! Into our ground bridge! Now!" Ratchet yelled at us. Welp, there goes our cover.

Jack grabbed Miko's arm and tried to pull her toward the bridge. "Come on."

I grabbed Raf's hand and helped him down the rocks and we sprinted to the bridge. I had a bad feeling in my gut and I wanted to get back to base. But as we went through the bridge, there was an explosion. I was blown forward and hit the ground with a painful thump.

I heard Jack start to stir a few seconds later, so I opened my eyes to see my phone pointed at my face. "Everyone alright?" He asked.

"Yeah, I think so." Raf fixed his glasses. I stood and helped him up, leaving my phone on the ground. "You sure, little brother?" I asked. He nodded.

"What about you?" He asked. I nodded. "I'm alright." I picked my phone up to see it was still recording.

"Ooh. Wh-what just happened?" Bulkhead's voice sounded. The dust cleared and we seen Bulkhead stand up.

"I can't be certain. But if two ground bridges sent at the same coordinates crossed streams, the feedback could have triggered a system overload." Ratchet said.

"Could? Hello! More like totally did." Miko said.

"The kids made it through, right?" Bulkhead said.
